Hopefully at least the highlights will be brought out/leaked out sometime today. If only they’d issue the lowlights alongside......

Saw the leaked rates. No real changes. At 4 years I get .75 raise. Still back loaded at 8 years. Shit if your a temp and get hired in you can be making more than me in 3 years. Sad.

Am I reading the healthcare language right that we are expected to pay 20% of the health insurance now?

It just says top out. $29.71 the top out You were correct about the romeo workers bro. Thought you were just talking hearsay.. theyll be going to VanDyke or getting bought out. But i believe top out for in-progression is 29.71 but with the 3% wage increase itll essentially be 30.51 which is legacy rate. Not sure if im reading it correctly or not though. "* Employees who will receive a step increases after 9/14/2020, will receive a 3% increase on their current base rates on 9/14/2020. Top Rate is the legacy classification wage rate Employees already at top rate will earn GWIs and 4% bonuses in line with their eligibility" thats what it said beneath the wage board.

Am I reading the healthcare language right that we are expected to pay 20% of the health insurance now? No, you’re reading it wrong. That’s what Ford wanted us to pay during negotiations, but bargaining kept it as is.

Legacy gets 1000.00$ paid into Tesphe while in progression gets nothing?Thats bullshit. Also what if you don’t have tesphe(I do) ?Thats bullshit.

I know they are trying to appease the legacy folks with things like these but it simply smacks down the whole “United” part of what the UAW is supposed to be about. Equal pay for equal work. Equal bonuses for equal employment. Every employee should get every gain. Period. Ford already gets savings, not just due to no pension/insurance for non-legacy, but also from the percentage payouts being less because of hourly pay rate among those progressing in pay. At first I was a YES, but as discussion grows and the plan unfolds, I’m now a NO.

I can see where it says they are doing it but it does not say why? Thought maybe it is because everyone else is getting big jumps in hourly rate over the course of the contract and so it was something to incentive legacy to agree to it??? Or maybe a precursor to them buying out everyone’s pensions in a future contract?

Tesphe has nothing to do with pension. Its totally funded by the individuals.I think it’s because people were griping retirees should get a raise?I don’t understand but I’ll take it.In progression should get 1000 added to their 401k.

I know tesphe does not equal pension but I believe that in a future contract there will attempts or offers to do a large company contribution to tesphe in exchange for killing the pensions. So thought maybe this was just to see how people reacted.

BJMZA, I think you’re onto something there with the lump sum pension buyouts -probably next contract.
Honestly, outside of the retirement healthcare, I’d personally would rather have control of the money myself instead of my retirement being in the hands of an ever changing contract with Ford. Without pension or retiree healthcare however, I only offer my .02c.
