I read the union minutes flyer and really questioned what it stated.They were griping about people missing work and causing manpower and negative unit numbers.?
1)What would ANYONE expect when a majority of the workforce has been under paid for years?They just received a large raise and lump sum payment.
2)You negotiated and CHANGED the awol policy so when they get fired you can remind them of that.
3)If we are really LOSING trucks WHY do we go home at 3:30/3:42 all the time?Why not stay till 4:30?
4)When a shift is gone (Because the Co. Realizes they can run with LESS people) maybe they’ll wish they came to work?
I only care about #3 because it doesn’t make sense.If I needed these trucks you bet your ass you would be here 10hrs AT LEAST.

Right on all accounts.Except they didn’t WIPE out all AWLOS on every persons record.It was only if you were NOT on disciplinary For RW+ month .Dont care about ANYBODY period.BUT what about the statement “we are losing production and we PROMISED we would make more chassis cabs”?Then short shift and leave at 9.3-9.5 everyday?

Company and union both said if we agreed to the longer hours years ago we wouldnt lose any chassis cabs yet they took them away anyway. Union and company both said we if we agreed to pay cuts during the 08’ economic crash that we would get them back, we didn’t. I personally don’t believe a word out of either one of them. You have a building chairman that will believe whatever they tell him to believe, who can remember him asking us to give up the right to go on strike because in some way economically if would help the company, and then 4 months later the company was handing out bonuses to management.....and then the maniacs that work here voted him to be our building chairman, lol. I don’t give two shits if anyone comes to work, if they want to move production they will move it anyway. When you hire your employees from a temp service this is what you get. If I was doing the hiring it would be people with kids and a mortgage that actually need cash to function, not people living at home with their parents looking for weed money. This is the most disfunctional orginazation on the planet. Stay safe people

Ford will never ever move the super duty away from KTP. It’s here for a reason. The same reason that every worthless Buckeye , Norfolkian and Atlantan is here. Because the hard working people who grew up in THIS area made KTP the best plant in the Ford system. I’ve been here a long long time and they have threatened to move our products time after time. NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN !!!!

Still back to my original question.If we need trucks so bad (because of awols)WHY do we short shift everyday?I haven’t worked 40hrs in a year or more.Why threaten the workers when it’s all bullshit?

I believe they’re working 10.5-11.0 hrs in final aren’t they? We go short in body because we run faster than they do.

Ford will never ever move the super duty away from KTP. It’s here for a reason. The same reason that every worthless Buckeye , Norfolkian and Atlantan is here. Because the hard working people who grew up in THIS area made KTP the best plant in the Ford system. I’ve been here a long long time and they have threatened to move our products time after time. NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN !!!! Your are an idiot. Ask 100,000 tranfers all over the country. If you think this product can’t be moved your insane. Build a great truck and then you won’t have to worry. |

Yes we have 2 body & paint shops that feeds us. Maybe they should slow body & paint down so they don't get short shift every day. LOL On another note, this isn't the first time that they have wiped out AWOLS & give us a bonus at contract time. This younger work force doesn't care about the future. All they care about is what they have now. |

I didn’t know final was going over 10?And about them moving the SD?Go for it .Ill just go to another plant like all the transplants have came to KTP and ride out 4 more years.Not a big deal.Seems like it worked out well for all the Lorrainians,ATLs,Avon’s,hell even the LAPers have it made.Still Cant see how we are losing trucks tho?I learned this years ago ,there’s so many fucking extra people in this place it’s unreal.They come out of the wood work when needed.

I have to finally tell you after so many years.... Lorraine is actually Lorain! Couldn't look at that imperfection anymore. LOL! Believe me I am from Avon Lake and we had plenty of transfers from many plants while I worked there. KTP is not the only plant that gets transfers!!!!

This place doesn't even acknowledge good attendence. I've had perfect attendance since I started here only used personal days, but it doesn't matter at all. Im going to start using awols from here on out. 4 personal days a year if you have under 5 years is a joke.
