If the rumor is true, 3 x 8 hr shifts in Paint 4AM-12PM, 12-8PM, 8PM-4AM .
That seems to be a shift premium for all 3 shifts

I don’t see how paint and body (SUV) can run 2 different patterns. They’ve always run the same schedule.

C crew SUV was only put in to get money for the plant and take in LAP people. You’re Welcome LAP transfers! While us KTPers get screwed AGAIN

6am-2pm
2pm-10pm
10pm-6am

It REALLY burns me up that the weekend they cancel C crew, we get a mandatory Sunday and also then post 3 more MANDATORY Sundays every other week for the following month and a half.
Going from a 4 day week to a 6day week in the first possible week is a uppercut to the soul for sure.
I know, I know, double time will be sweet, but just the shear apparent need for more production/volume by the mandatory days at the same time saying “Let’s go ahead and eliminate an entire shift” is some of the most baffling(shouldn’t still be after 8+yrs here) movement I’ve experienced.
I’m sure they’ll be more to come but this one really gets my goad, mainly because it’s gonna cost me several overnights w/my boys. I had also just signed up to start finishing my degree this semester. 🤷♂️
It’s this kind of abrupt wholesale life changes that kill people and there attitudes at work.
Finish my higher education (company paid) and getting out ASAP. Unless us nominal/New Legacy can acquire some kind of retirement healthcare in the next few contracts, there’s no real reason to stick it out in a place that treats you like the number they see you as.

Also to had to how shitty this place is.Lets day you work here 30yrs and retire at age 62..You ONLY GET 1600$ a month from Ford?WTF?Ive told so many of the young guys to either1)SAVE for your old age or 2) GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE.!Ive been here 25 and still I’m working right next to guys with 2019 seniority?No good bid jobs left.Thats the truth ,nothing here but a good living WHILE you’re working.
