Saw a kid (4yrs sen) yesterday running for CP and his flyer said”on the young workers committee”?WTF is that?Is there an old workers committee?Isnt the UAW a young and old workers union?Or is this some kind of wedge to keep young and old at odds?

I agree with Ex-Metalman on his original post...we are ONE UNION....not young vs. old. The division in the plant is horrible. In all my years at KTP have I seen such hostility as it is now. The hostility because the new hires are not happy with the wage differences as though the Legacy were the ones that put this in place. IT WAS FORD MOTOR COMPANY out to line their deep pockets. You knew when hiring in what the deal was. Go to the Union meetings and get yourself involved and work to better our workplace as ONE COLLECTIVE UNION. The jealousy, constant bickering, complaining, AWOLS, FMLAS is what I am witness to every day in this plant. The bathrooms have NEVER been as disgusting as they are now....WHAT THE HELL IS UP!! So, in the meantime I am just waiting for the announcement that a shift has been cut....who will that affect? It will affect us all! It's coming FOLKS.

Yes...def dreading the 5x10 schedule with Super Saturdays/Sundays. Sad part is that with losing a shift you lose the good with the bad workers...probably end up keeping more of the bad...ironic. I don't think that until this happens will folks wise up...and even then probably won't bat an eye. Me myself I have a family and bills to pay and can't afford to not come to work. I'm thinking a shift cut will happen within the year...especially with the high AWOLS and OHAP being able to build our product. What's your prediction ExM?

I don’t really think it will happen.I think the OHAP was part of our contract.Dont think KTP can build what Ford has ordered so they turned to them for help.
