As long as their isn’t a case in the plant I will work. When one is confirmed I’m done. Will deal with the fallout another time. Fuck em |

There are cases in the plant they Are Hiding this information from all of us. Health and safety has went to jobs and informed people that the person on another shift has tested positive. Yet here we are... they have sent upper management to stay home in some areas for 2 weeks but here we are to make sure they don’t loose their profits. Stay safe.. stay clean 🧼

Deep cleaning. Brief pause. The Hackett email from last week stated if there were ANY cases at any facility, they would close it for at least 24hrs and deep clean.
This all but proves that there are, and have been confirmed cases they have kept from us till now, but still, not even our UAW president can CLEARLY share that there has been.
How does Ford, specifically both Louisville plants expect to run after Friday with all daycare facilities being forced to close? Maybe not so much on day shift (myself excluded- I have an 8&9yr old) but I’d say overwhelming majority of the younger employees on the off shifts have much younger kids out of a school, and after Friday, out of daycare.
Profits over people....that’s all we are to the company, and ever will be. Science is science, except when it directly interferes with profit.

Fords in business to make vehicles and profits. Their not in healthcare, daycare or cleaning business. Go to any graveyard in the country and look around, all those people buried have been replaced. Your exactly right about being just a number to ford. YOU need to realize that. All that being said, KTP pays most of fords North American bills so be glad you have a job here and hope they don’t shut it down because young people won’t come to work. God bless to you all.

This is bigger than Ford, if we were making a war time needed product it would be different but we aren’t. All the medical professionals are asking is for people to go home and stay home for a few weeks, they arent asking people to go to war. It seems like a small sacrifice for businesses and people to help slow the spread down and get the strain off the system. People are dying, more will die. Every health care professional in the world is screaming and begging for people to do that. Seems smarter to shut it down for a few weeks like they are asking, don’t do a summer shutdown, what is so god damn hard about that to save some lives? Just irresponsible on Ford’s part

I understand the trade-off. I’m fully aware of micro and macro-econ brother. I know the trade-off. We all made the choice. Our families and friends however, didn’t sign up for that trade-off. For sure there’s likely to be family members die from someone here being willingly exposed so the quarterly return could meet investors demands. We make luxury vehicles. How is it anywhere in the realm of a mandatory service for the function of the state or country for that matter. The whole F’in world and country is in the midst of a global pandemic unlike anything seen since the Spanish Flu of 1918.
Profits can and will return.
People can’t.
