So how does this work because when I file for sub pay during shut down that shit takes around 2 months to get. Paper says to file this Sunday for it but looks like we are off for for 3 weeks? So I keep filing every Sunday? I'm thinking last sub pay for shut down was $320? That ain't even half of this what I bring home a week. Got 3 kids to feed. Gonna live off my savings like everyone else but damn these kids like to eat lmfao

You call on Sunday, get unemployment usually on Friday, call again next Sunday will get that unemployment on Friday, and you will get your sub pay from the first week on that Friday as well. Unemployment is $415, sub is $389. Total is $804, probably more than most make when working because their is no TESPHE taken out. Another thing, if you cant go 2 weeks without having a break down about not being able to support your family now would be a good time to take a look at your finances and fix that situation. Stay safe people.

Gonna live off my savings like everyone else but damn these kids like to eat lmfao Each week we're off, on the Sunday at the end of that week until the following Thursday, we go to the state unemployment website and request payment for that week. Ford has filed a group claim for all of us. We only have to request payment. SUB pay comes directly from Ford. It takes 2 to 3 months because the state compiles a list of all Ford employees who they paid and sends it to Dearborn who then calculates how much additional $ will bring the total to 80% of your regular 40hr pay. All of this is sure to be dramatically delayed, not to mention that if we do get additional unemployment $ it will probably exceed that 80% mark which I assume means no SUB pay at all.

Good Lord , a couple of people actually understand how UI works. One of you guys should copy those instructions to FB so these panicky millennials can ask you a thousand questions. Lol. I agree 100 % that if you can’t make it two weeks without a pay check then you are doing something very very wrong. But , you know that it be exactly the same thing on the next TLO.

Just so you know you have a certain day of the week to claim your check. It goes by the 1st letter of your last name. They just started doing this due to the overwhelming files of unemployment

That doesn’t apply to Ford employees...just read the handout that Royce sent out and follow that and you will be fine. You have from Sunday to Wednesday to file

Glad I'm retired and house paid for.Just regular utility bills. Most workers live paycheck to paycheck. Just received a big profit share check and still crying. These are hard times. I would say the majority of the workers at ford are in real trouble with their financial situation. Some people will be able to weather this out with no problem. Good luck to all. Maybe this will be a wake-up call for the people in a tight situation.
