Judging from the children’s reaction on FB, this is going to be a shit show. They really think Ford cares about child care and/or an at risk family member? LOL

According to John Savona VP. If your plant has 3 shifts it will go back with 2 shifts that first week. If your plant has 2 shifts it will go back with 1 shift the first week. If your plant has 1 shift. It will go back with that 1 shift I would guess KTP will rotate 1 shift off a week, not 2 per week. Will see.

Contact the daycare workers/teachers/HS or college girls and pay them cash on top of their UE.

can’t run from this thing forever. There may never be a vaccine and if you aren’t going out for fear of catching something, then you’ll have to do that at least until January.
Daycares are opening June 15. That’s 4 work weeks. Most likely will be on 3 of those. Off 1. So you have to figure out 3 weeks of childcare. I don’t feel sorry for people and neither does Ford. What are people who work at Kroger doing? People have known it’d be around this time for 2 months now. Let’s be adults and figure it out. Just my opinion.

When the industry 95% of the people use for childcare isn’t allow to care for children what are your options? My kids are raised and gone but I tend to think about it if it was me. Not really interested in leaving an infant or child with someone that hasn’t been background checked, or that the others living in the house haven’t been. A lot of workers here are transplants, people whine about it all the time, well their immediate family isn’t here. No parents, brothers, sisters, cousins, aunts. I mean their options are really limited. If it was me I would mark that survey every day that I’ve been exposed or don’t feel well or whatever and stay home, deal with the fallout later. Better than my kid being molested or something worse. The adult thing to do is take care of your family. Imagine one could do FMLA to care for a kid, not sure how that works I’ve been lucky enough to not have to use it. Stay safe people

You think businesses should have to pay employees who aren’t working and/or provide child care (again)? Anyone with a kid will claim no child care and collect more money on UE. Ford knows that. Good luck with that.

To be CLEAR my child is 38.BUT if I was in a top UAW role I would be fighting for folks with small children. If you believe in Covid and nobody lives with you and your child then there’s NOBODY to take care of child.TRUTH.

My understanding is that if you answer yes to any of the questions so you don't have to work is that you will be placed on medical for 2 weeks. Sorry no unemployment or the extra $600 per week. Its kinda a raw deal but that is what I have heard. After 2 weeks you can once again start over.

|
|
Post by beaner on May 8, 2020 18:39:29 GMT -5
That’s how I read the chart as well. But it seems if you have child care issues you’d get to stay on UE and get the $600. So why would you just go that route if you have a yes on the survey?

So if you’re turned away for answering YES and now you’re on Medical you should receive John Hancock /Uni-Care .Correct?

Correct in my understanding of it. There is always chances of underlying possibilities though.

That’s how I read it, too. If you get a positive test at the doctor, after being sent away then you get 2 weeks full pay.
