I've put my time in and seen a lot of stuff....but this I will tell you... We are about to lose a CREW. Is this a rumor...NO....the writing is on the damn WALL. The work ethic and integrity of doing what you got to do to make a living is PISS POOR at KTP. This all started when they LOWERED THEIR STANDARDS IN WHO THEY HIRED....its FORD'S FAULT!!!! You get what you pay for!!! All us Legacy's know the story....the "KNOW IT ALL" new hires....WELL. you about to find out. And NO>>>>I want to stay on my 4 day work week....retire in 3 years and say ADIOS....but damn I see a 5 day work week and OT shoved up my ass....When we Legacy's are gone.....KTP will be DONE!!!! Truth!!!

So people with less time and nothing to gain supposed to risk their life for a dirty plant that hasn't cleaned anything and has covid cases because you want to have a good last 3 years before retirement!You old timers need to retire and stop worrying about what ford got going on all y'all talk about is how long you been there who cares you must don't have nothing saved since you so worried.

Overit....let's keep it real....a large majority of new hires weren't coming in to work before the Covid outbreak. If it wasn't for the Pandemic YOU (and I mean NOT ALL but a lot of newer hires) still wouldn't show up for work. The AWOL problem was going on long before this....FORD has always had somewhat of an attendance problem....but not to the extent it is now. I've NEVER seen it so bad that each week we have to shut down parts of the plant and loan out folks because they can't run. But....yeah...you crying about the "dirty plant"...is that why you don't come to work??? Or is it because you really don't have it in you to be FORD TOUGH....I'm betting the latter. MAN UP kiddos...go to your Union meetings, raise hell and ask for better working conditions when you see things aren't acceptable...educate yourselves and run for a Union position to represent your fellow brother/sister....the whole thing boils down to folks don't know what work is about. And remember this kiddo....you chose to work at FORD....don't like it....move along....simple as that...

I wouldn't doubt the plant goes to two shifts. A lot of jobs in both body shops can be converted to a robot and probably a few other areas as well. That'll keep us skilled trades busy.
I hate to see people lose a job but a lot of shit is self inflicted.

NASCAR is right. Our last few years here are going to be pretty much like our first few. 11 hours x 5 days a week and lots of Saturdays. It will be interesting to see what happens at KTP in the next 5 years after most of the 93-95 hires are gone. I can see it get to where 75% of the plant has FMLA and most people will only work 1250 hours a year. I think Ford is gonna be the big loser. What are they gonna do move ? Move where ! The PT generation is everywhere. Yeah it’s gonna suck old timers but like we use to say “ lay in there and get it “. I’m gonna save like I never saved before. Who knows what will become of our pension.

What some childish bullshit both of you are saying. kTP is one of the 3 biggest moneymakers for Ford. Our retirement is dependent on ford making money. There’s millions of people who thought their retirement was secure that lost it. I hope this plant has a long and prosperous future. Probably would cost someone in your family or a friend their job too. Your talking supplier jobs, delivery jobs, restaurants, doctors offices, most retailers in the area would be hurt bad as well effecting jobs there. Just crazy to talk that way.

I dont comment often but let me get this right, are speaking about those who say they have childcare issues or are you talking about the ones out for High risk individuals? Because anyone with real health issues shouldn't be pressured by Ford or you to return to work. Bad outcomes have been proven since the start of this mess. Also I have plenty of my A crew brothers who are also put because they have health issue such as heart and lung disease-so.e with lowered immune systems due to high does of meds. So please stop saying that the $600 is the reason for everyone. As for the young people the $600 was about what they male each eek anyway unemployment will be close to that with their S-pay. Daycares are also only taking 10 kids per room go figure- quick to judge

I agree they are hiring the bottom of the barrel lately. And yes a lot were even coming in when I did, but these new temps are on another level. You guys should work B crew if you think A is bad. 2x worse. Everyone thinks is "cool" to not give a fuck.

Order bank is too high. Build more trucks on 3 shifts compared to 2 even if you have 2 shifts work every Saturday..... unless they move work to Ohio.
