Coming back from Panama tomorrow and I guess I'll rent a cabin in Tennessee this coming week. I'm enjoying my time off. Glad I've been preparing for this for a while. Had a feeling this contract was the one we would strike. Hopefully next time some of these young people take it serious when they say there's always a chance every 4 years just because we have in so long doesn't mean we won't.

I'm ready to put this recent offer to a vote. Most people I know are ready to get back. Broke and making 500/week sucks. That offer woulda been making over 40/hr in a few years. Now it's up to one man (fain) to decide everyone's fate. He needs to put this thing to a vote and let the people decide.

Not everyone is as awesome as you I guess. Doesn't have anything to do with it. Anyone who doesn't like the strike can go out and make $499 after taxes a week additional a week just have to go do it on top of the $500/week. That's more than take home a week after taxes or about the same. If someone doesn't know there is a chance every 4 years we can strike then they don't know how this job works. We get profit sharing, $1500 in June, etc. There's been plenty of time to save. Too many people way in over there head with $1800 Mortgages and $900 car notes they can't afford I guess.

I would actually accept 25% and 10% retiree raise. If Bill Ford would get on live tv and admit he lied about returning concessions when Ford became profitable again.

Will not be very much profit sharing (if any) next March. True. I have a cheap mortgage, modest 1 car payment. Also have 2 little kids to feed and can't afford daycare so wife works part time. After groceries which are more than mortgage and other BS my kids always need something for school/sports. Hard to save money with this cost of living.

I have kids as well and a modest mortgage and car payment. But some of these folks are already drowning and it's barely been 2 strike turns for us each yet. So we've lost what if working A crew 1 day pay? Then this coming Friday we're gonna get $500 so I'm losing $430ish this Friday so I'm down not even $640 but yet Ford said we can go out and get another job and make $499 and people would rather sit around and cry about it. There's your loss of income right there plus more

I'm sure the 3rd quarter news which Ford will report Thursday is going to be a major bargaining chip for One side or the other. Not saying this will be the make / break but I'm sure Fain is assuming 3rd quarter was profitable and it will help his case.

I think just shutting down KTP *(assembly) was absolute BS! If Fain calls 862 then ALL of 862 goes down! He is just trying to save money on the strike fund! Wait until this all gets settled. Then Fain will tell all the rank and file that they need to pony up and pay 3 hours union dues for an unspecified time to rebuild the strike fund. IMO!

I agree .Total Bullshit.Shutting down KTP should include Stamping .If not then the 862 UNION paying stamping workers should still be working .

Already seeing a bunch of morons on Facebook saying and spreading the word to vote no. Even new people. Gonna be making $40/hr at a factory job with more than likely zero education. In 3 years at that.
