I filled out a application at G.S.I on Riverport Rd.Had a interview and Drug screening on the spot. They are interested in people with factory experience and could hire you right away. The pay isn't the greatest, but with tap it could equal or surpass your Ford wages depending on your commitment to work over time.starts at $9.50 a hour, but they are working up to 80 hours a week with overtime. Thanks for the lead,Herb.

Dakkota industries is hiring. They make the dashes and radiators for Ford and toyuka. You have to go through a temp service (Express) to get hired full time. You will be in thier union (still UAW)) so you will not have to pay initiation fees, etc. Call 261-1187. Pay starts at $10.35 an hour and then to $11 and change after temp to hire. You will have to take a dexterity test and drug screen. Dexterity test is putting car rims on a peg board and using color sequenced lug nuts. Good luck to all of you who are still seeking a job and hopefully you will get in contact with this company before time runs out.

G.S.I. has ads all over the television about hiring temporary workers for the holidays that could turn into full-time employment. It says to apply in person.

Was told by GSI that they can not guarantee full time employment.

Most likely they will keep you during the holidays and find a reason not to keep you after but its still work.

I went to the temp services and there just aren't any jobs out there, especially paying anything. Anyone knows of any parts suppliers hiring?

1200 openings at CAP...I would take it being that if you decline, you no longer work for Ford. If you don't want to move to Chicago, it's too late for the buyout now. It was timing again...they offer buyout...deadline comes, then they announce "either move or you're done".

Yeah I saw that on the news yesterday. But I am looking to see what's out there now to hold me over til this launch transpires or I make some decisions.
