I'm not sure if you guys ahve heard of this. A few years back a woman working for KBR/haliburton was gang raped by her co-workers. KBR locked her in a shipping container and told her if she reported it she would be fired. I will include the link so you can read all the gorey details. So KBR locks her up and the US embassy has to rescue her. So they are basicly covering up and condoneing the rape. Yet when she finaly gets home she cant sue them due to a clause they put in her contract. And the men that did it can't be convicted of the crime because the Bush administration negotiated immunity for contractors in Iraq. (CONTRACTORS BUT NOT SOLDIERS) Now I am fine if Blackwater is immune because they shot someone while defending theirselves or raiding terrorists. But, when US citizens are immune to raping and beating another US citizen, its time for this to STOP. When a bill came to the floor to try and stop companies like Haliburton from denying a woman that was raped legal recourse 30 republican senators sided with Haliburton instead of the victims. 2 of those senators are from KY. If you were mad about Acorn and this doens't piss you off, you truely do drink the kool-aid. Here is the link to the full story: abcnews.go.com/Blotter/Story?id=3977702And here is a video of all the senators that voted Nay: www.youtube.com/watch?v=CM6TSvb4Xgw&feature=fvsr

So are you saying that the woman in question may have somehow deserved to be beaten and raped?

Not sure of this circumstance...but quite possibly? Who knows if she was even raped or beaten. She could very well be a waste of human existence or she could be telling the truth. But you also have to understand how we all don't think the same way. Today, people expect soldiers to be kind during war...I want them to win and come home safely. War could result in women being raped, kids being murdered, and who knows what else. We send 18 year olds into urban battle and expect them to act as gentlemen...I expect them to act as warriors. Do whatever it takes to come home. I would like to believe if I was over there, I could avoid killing kids and raping women (or having sex with the locals who then cry rape)...but there are no guarantees in war. Torture is a part of war. Water boarding should be used...I am in favor of every type of torture available. I can't say if she was ever raped...maybe she was a disgruntled worker looking to frame them. Maybe they all got drunk, they ran a train on her, then she cried rape. We have no idea. So all we can do is assume.

Rape is ok? You are one sick individual. People like you who share these types of insensitivities are partly why we as autoworkers are held in such low regard. Believe it or not there are rules of war. Have you ever heard of the Geneva convention? Like or or not our government is supposed to honor it. Furthermore, this alleged brutal rape was carried out by civillian contractors and not soldiers. Do you think that it would be ok if your mom (or dad) was gang-raped by her/his co-workers and they couldn't be prosecuted or sued?

As I already stated, there should be no rules regarding war. Win, and win at any cost to return home to your loved ones. You hit the nail on the head with "alleged rape". It would be ok if they asked for it...meaning they deserved it.

So all we can do is assume. Ok none of us were there. But as to her making it up, they beat her so badly they burst her breast implants. It seems a stretch to think she did this on her own. Also the rapist were not soldiers they were contractors. And a point of fact is that the embassy, with real soldiers, rescued her from the shipping container. So if she was making it up it also seems hard to believe she would lock herself in a container and somehow get people to gaurd her. War is and should be ugly. But, if you are allowing your own citizens to beat beaten, raped , or murdered in the name of stopping your citizens from being beaten, raped, and murdered are you realy accomplishing anything?

This is classic, ;D an American woman contractor with breast implants working overseas. Hot environment, skimpy clothing, bending over in front of horney male contractors in another country. Somehow I'm picturing a BUD LIGHT commercial to pop up any minute.
I have to wonder about that story. I wonder if the implants have a warranty? They should not have burst under such extreme conditions. Just look at the beatings those things take at the strip clubs. You know sliding off that brass pole.
I bet if I was a contractor at a prison and ran down the halls at rec time with my pants pulled down around my ankles spanking my ass I would leave there with bursted nuts!!! ;D

Let ye who has not sinned cast the first stone. Well Kess you threw it I caught it and now I'm throwing it back to you. Let's break down what you said about me.... Yes I have posted about my Christan beliefs. Where did I say that breast implants were an invitation to rape? I did not. You my brother, forgot the other two Gospels. There are four. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Just for future reference the people in biblical times did not have the technology yet or materials for breast implants. Why would you be let down on me? I do not advocate rape. You tell me to be a Christan. Brother I sin everyday. It is impossible not to sin. I am a Christan, I believe in God the Almighty. The last one kind of pissed me off a little but, it's the internet so wtf. I do own a bible and I am a Republican. I will elaborate on this later.
Now to clear things up about your article. Here is something I was told when I was a teenager, unrelated but related to your article. When you play with shit you get shit on you. That being said. Your angel knowingly signed a contract for employment to go to a country that is at WAR. That contract freed them from any liability that may incur while she is an employee working for them in a country that is at WAR. Is it wrong she got raped? Sure, but she is not on United States soil. The laws of our country do not apply to what happens in other countries. Do I believe her side of the story? Nope. Why? I have been around lots of people my life. I have learned a very important lesson. People lie. There are always two sides to every story. People do some crazy shit so they can sue so they don't have to work hard in life. Called a free ride. Who really knows what happened that day? A few people do. I don't feel sorry for her one bit. Why? She chose to sign a contract with that bullshit in it. She chose to leave the United States. She chose to work in a country that is at WAR!. I'm not going any farther you get the point. I'm glad she is well, funny how she ran back here and wanted to sue. $$$$$$$
When a bill came to the floor to try and stop companies like Haliburton from denying a woman that was raped legal recourse 30 republican senators sided with Haliburton instead of the victims. 2 of those senators are from KY.
Why would they take her side Kess? She signed a contract. The government is not like the union and willing to break or modify contracts. The crime happened in another country. She should have taken the matter to their government. Our laws don't apply to other countries. Sorry to tell you that, but thats why I will never leave the good ole USA. Oh I'm sure the Democrats would have paid her well. Fire up the Treasury were gonna print more money that we don't have. Oh shit I just figured a way to create some jobs. Add a shift at the Treasury to keep printing money we don't have. We will worry about the consequences later. That's my take for this article.
Now, you questioned me about my faith, I want to question you about yours.

Ok Kess.
I'm pretty sure you are a Democrat and you said you are a Christan also. That being said I assume you supported Obama. When you support someone that means you agree with what they say, act and do. Right? It's all or nothing. A vote for them is a vote for their beliefs. Obama is a supporter of abortion. Abortion is the killing of unborn babies. How can a Christan support someone who believes in this practice? Next, he was a member of a church I guess you would call it that, and the pastor repeatedly said G-D America!!! Why would a Christan support someone that agrees with that statement? He would have never left that "church" had it not hurt his chances at becoming President. I'm sure there are many more but we will keep this short. Like I said before you questioned me I questioned you. I will tell you this. I don't always vote Republican. I vote for the canidate. I vote for the person who holds their beliefs the same as mine. So that being said if a Republican supports aborition. I will not vote for them. If a Republican goes to a church that the pastor said some stupid shit like that, guess what I won't vote for them. Anyway, I do pray for the President that he makes the right choices for this country.
I'm not going to throw the comment back at you that you did me. God bless you and have a Merry Christmas.

Who said the clown was a man? All kidding aside, the Haliburton debacle was a disaster. These type of people are needed in war zones but they took things way too far, these men where not U.S. soldiers, they where contractors, used by a firm owned by a group of Republicans. How would you feel if Ford hired these type for plant security? If we could only take the positive aspects of each party, and move forward.

Ktpelec, Haliburton got the no bid contract awarded to them from the Bush adm. Do the Republicans own it? Hell, I don't know. I would say Republicans own all major companies. That was wrong. Could have saved the taxpayers billions by bidding it out. The Vice was the former CEO so he took care of them. You know the whole scratch my back I'll scratch yours. It's everywhere brother politics, unions, corporations. It's all a joke. Just like appointments within the union just plain wrong. Buddy system. I was really not a big fan of the Bushy years as you might think I am. Just like the current administration holy shit Acorn. Wow, what can I say about Acorn? Democrats pumped lot's of money your's and mine into that scam. I loved it when Sponge Bob Square Pants was registered to vote. Brought to you by Acorn. Sure I like many laughed but it really is a serious incident. Then the hidden video came out with the pimps and prostitutes. Like I said when I wrote to Kessinger I vote for the one who has the same beliefs as me no matter what the party. That could be an Independent or a write in. Believe me I have written in a candidate before a few times because the one running were pitiful.
Had to go back and spell check this one. Getting old is a beach.

Sorry Ktpelec. did not see that part. In the past did Ford not hire some security that was a little extreme? Have you not read Barefoot Boy on the Parkway? If you get sworn in you will get a copy of it. I don't know if they still do it or not. It's a pretty good read. To answer your question that will never happen. America is sue happy. Sue, sue, sue sue, sue sue. I never signed a contract that released them from all liability. I never will work for any company who does that. Common sense. If this incident happened on United States soil the criminals would be charged for the attack. I'm not saying the President could not pardon them after they were foung guilty. The Prez can pardon anyone he sees fit. Thats bullshit also. You do the crime you do the time. Like I said before it's wrong what happened but you also have to be self accountable and not put yourself in those types of positions.
One more example of a dumb shit. How about those hikers that wanted to hike in Iraq? Then they crosses into Iran. They were taken prisoner. First, what kind of morons would hike in a war zone. Then they are begging for the United States to help them. Guess what more our our taxpayer money being wasted trying to get those silly asses out of jail in another country that hates America. I just don't have any compassion for stupid behavior anymore. All this beautiful country we have here and they want to hike in a war zone. Go figure.

I am taking the workers side. That is the issue i have with this vote. Should companys be able to strip away someones rights? I agree she signed the contract so she has to live with that.
But, THE VOTE was about not letting companys put that in their contracts. It simply said if you got US contracts that you could not put that type of clause in your employemnt contracts. And as I have said, Republicans take Companies over workers. Take the rape out of it. The Republicans have voted to take a workers rights away to help Halliburton, like they need the help. How can you get mad about 3% raises to Ford exec's yet not get mad about this vote? It them against us and you vote with them.
Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great, but judge your neighbor fairly." Leviticus 19:15
Did these 30 Republicans show facortism to the great? I thinmk we can all agree what they did.

KTP, One, I like the civil debate. Please don't take anything I say as a slam. Take it as two guys arguing politics over coffee or my girlie liberal mocha latte.
Why I think Christians should vote Democrat. I was once told "Republicans love babys til their born". And this seems to be true more and more. The Republican party fights every single law or plan that helps children in familys that can't take care of them. S-chip, scholl lunch programs.......In a dream world every mother or father would be perfect, but that is not the world we live in. If we as a country are going to stop abortion we as a country also have to be willing to take on the financial burden of taking care of these often unwanted children. To say "hey little guy, welcome to the world, now your on your own" is not only wrong. It is Biblicy wrong. The bible is a handbook on taking care of orphans and the needy.
"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." James 1:27
So, if you want America to stop abortion because its the Christian thing to do, then shouldn't you also want America to care for those in need. Its the Christian thing to do. And i am sure that you will say " the Bible doesn't say that Goverment should do it" and to that I say, it doesn't say that Goverment should stop abortion. But its the Chritian thing to do.

Why Republicans use abortion to get votes and do nothing to change it. SO why vote for em?
Examples:
McCain was for abortion til he was against it.
McCain Flip-Flops, Supports Immediate Reversal of Roe v. Wade In 1999, the “moderate” version of John McCain said that overturning Roe v. Wade would be dangerous for women and he would not support it, even in “the long term.” Here’s McCain in the San Francisco Chronicle:
I’d love to see a point where it is irrelevant, and could be repealed because abortion is no longer necessary. But certainly in the short term, or even the long term, I would not support repeal of Roe v. Wade, which would then force X number of women in America to [undergo] illegal and dangerous operations.
This morning on ABC, McCain — now aggressively courting the likes of Jerry Falwell — expressed his unequivocal support for overturning Roe v. Wade. Watch it:
Reagan: Well he was agaisnt abortion as president. But was for it as Governor and signed the law that legalized abortion in Califonia leading to more than 2 million abortions. Thats very pro-life.
George W. Bush: When running for the Texas state senate he told a texas paper: "Bush said he opposes the pro-life amendment favored by [his opponent] and favors leaving up to a woman and her doctor the abortion question."
Leave it to a woman and her doctor? No worrys he got pro-life when he wanted your vote.
Lastly what party appointed the judges that made abortion legal? You know Roe vs. Wade
6 of the 8 justices that voted in favor of Roe vs Wade were appointed by republicans.
Of the two decenting votes 1 Rep. appointee and one Dem.
So you want Republican judges on the court? You have had them they gave you Roe and they have maintained it.
ABORTION, BROUGHT TO YOU BY THE REPUBLICAN PARTY.
Stop believeing the lies.

Kessinger, I think you are a great guy and the more I read what you write I like you even more. I voted for you and will continue. I think you are a small percent that holds yourself accountable for your actions. I may post some things you think are anti union. It's not that, it's the ones thats are elected and appointed who are lazy and did not earn their position who fail to do their job. Anyway, I have said before in the upper posts that I vote for the person that has the same beliefs as me. Democrat or Republican. I just can't support a guy who thinks abortion is ok and give my taxpayer money to fund it. I also love to talk politics as long as it is civil. Neither side is perfect nor will they ever be. I just look for a brighter future for the children who will lead this country tommrow. Man that sounds good. I should be a speech writer. Kess, enjoy that coffee or latte or whatever you might put in your cup. Again Merry Christmas and God bless you and your family.

That was a dog?? I thought it was one of my brother in-laws kids. LOL As the population of this country continues to rise everyday there are more personal ideals to satisfy, more justification for change. Things will never be as they where when this country was young and growing, with plenty of natural resources and very little media technology to sway peoples minds. No 2 people think alike in this world, there will always be differences as long as man walks this planet. In the past I have voted for candidates of all the different parties, never as a whole party ticket though, as no one individual or political party in this world is perfect.
