>:(It appears that the R&Ws and/or time off without pay are on the rise in the plant. Supervisors are taking people up more frequently for infractions that they themselves have committed and the safety rep. is handing out punishments that are unreasonable for minor infractions. How many of you guys have been given R&Ws and/or time off since the last vote? What was the infraction and the punishment given? >:(You can name the supervisor that is taking people up if you would like so that the other members are aware to be wary. Is your Union giving you the support and taking the necessary steps to ensure you are treated fairly?

They where doing this it shit at Kansas City so the local there held a strike vote and it got the attention of Detroit as the international UAW and Top Ford management hurried to Kansas City to try and work something out. Last I heard they worked it out but the local went ahead with the strike vote it passed by 99%
Will KTP local officials have the cuts to act like Kansas City? I doubt it but that may be what it takes.

I recieved my first r&w since I've been with Ford friday night. It has been a common theme in SUV trim since we started production. Now it is getting worse on night shift in my area.

Well, I guess since it's basketball season games come first and the membership comes after Sportscenter's highlights of the night's games. We'll be with you in a moment , brother..... Strike, your killing me. ;D

Ok lets get to the facts and not the rumors.
Last week on days. There were 3, yes 3, R@W's turned into labor. (other than attendance). Now that is just days. But, I don't believe we have had much more than that on nights, but I could be wrong or they may not turn them into labor. We did have one safety penalty that we thought was too heavy handed and it got reduced to a lesser penalty and the person brought back to work. I realy don't think you guys would want to strike over 3 R@W's, but maybe I am wrong.
We have had in the past and I am sure will have in the future issues with certain supervisors trying to act badass. When this comes up we address it and usualy get it turned around and alot of the penaltys removed.
Marcus, even though you think I am the anti-christ PM me your global and I will follow up on that penalty.
If anyone feels their is a supervisor handing out tons of write ups PM me or call 2409 and we will address it.

Wow, I am doing this all wrong.

I do ask that you at least try a time or two because there are times, like when early break is called, that you have 20 calls coming in at a time and can't answer them all in time. So, to be fair to the person try more than once before you bash em. HA HA HA HA!!! LOL Good luck with that. How will this happen when they don't even answer the phone. Kessinger,
You need to also may look at the Engine Line (Nightshift), my understanding the new supervisor on nights has R&W many people since coming back to nightshift. The other supervisor did not write up any body. I got this from them when I was loaned out to them a two weeks ago.

A Body shop maintenance person got wrote up while sitting down in their crib because he didnt have his thumbs threw the kevlar sleve hole.

A Body shop maintenance person got wrote up while sitting down in their crib because he didnt have his thumbs threw the kevlar sleve hole. That was a day they did the safety walk in body. I am only aware of 5 penaltys handed out that day. But, yes that was a bad day. Still far short of the 40 or more KC was having. For the record. Our plant had one of the worst safety records in the Ford system last year. It is widely believed this was the reason we had so many upper level managers moved from the plant. So we have indeed had alot of write ups for safety that we would not have gotten in the past. So keep that in mind.
