Heard a few days ago, Jeff a manager in trim spit on a UAW Rep. How in the world is he still working. I thought we had a zero tolerance, or does it not apply to management. Had me or any of my union brothers or sisters done this you better bet our ass would be out the door. Was told by the UAW Rep he's going through the proper channels. What channel needs to be gone through. Sorry, I had to vent. Been a long time reader, but this has gone to far.........

I thought that was considered assault with a bodily fluid. If it were me I'd file charges. When I worked in corrections is was and it also was an ass whopping. But was it true ? If it is, then I agree det309.

Jeff Marzian is the Sup. I heard did this. Doogy was the one on the recieving end. He said International was working on it. My question is why does it have to go this far? Next Question is why did people at KTP hear about this before us at LAP did?

Hmmm, I can see Jeff doing this. I've seen him go off on lots of people. I'm surprised Doogy didn't punch him! lol I called Fred out to the line one time for an issue I was having. I told Fred something Jeff had said about "my wonderful union". He called me a liar to my face! After I did that, everyday, Jeff & Corey would be on the line harrassing me. But I got that issue resolved real quick thanks to me being a big ol tattletale and telling Rocky. I guess he talked to them because I never had a problem with them again AND my issue got resolved:) Yes, it is against the law to spit on someone (simple assault), he should press charges.

For one Doogie had his finger hitting Jeff in the forehead w/it....if you weren't there don't go blowing it out of context.....and if ANY OF YOU knew Jeff he spits on everybody just talkin normal...he's called a wet mouth......so you know when you are up in each others face you will get spit on ....give me a friggin break......

Blowing it out of context??? Are you kidding me? If this was reversed Doogie would have been fired before the end of the shift. I think the union should push hard and demand that this P.O.S. supervisor be fired or given at least 30 days off to think about it.

I'm at KTP and a couple of years ago a guy spit in the face of his supervisor and he was suspended on the spot until further notice. At the very minumum that supervisor should be suspended until the issue is resolved one way or the other.

I am NOT a suck up or a company man, having said that, I worked with Jeff on the door line and think he was one of the best sups in the nine years I was there. He never screwed me over or was ever rude to me. I think if you just did your job and did it well thats all he asked. people just have different personalities and guess some may clash, but I found him overall to be a decent guy. just my 2 cents.

Worked for Jeff also, personally never had a problem with him, but saw others who did. He does spit sometimes when he is talking, I can't see him doing it on purpose.

Your mileage may vary.
I have had a few dealings with Jeff over the last couple of years and have found him to be manipulative and focused on one thing, making himself look as good as possible with the least amount of trouble to himself. I knew him when he worked on the line and went to salary.
I think that times like this bring out the best and worst in people. Nothing would surprise me.

Every supervisor that is still at ford has only one thing on their mind, to make himself or herself look as good as possible so they can continue after the next supervisor personnel cut. The supervisors will cut your throat and the throat of their fellow supervisors if it will make themselves look better to upper management. To those of you that get along with your supervisors, fight an overloaded job or resist doing any extra work. See how much you mean to them after that.

I know this is may be an unpopular statement... But, I feel I must give my 2 cents... It's the nature of the game... I have personal knowledge that committeeman in the past have kicked, spit, thrown phone, punched, thrown things at, slammed doors, cleared off their desk, greased phones, and just totally de-balled supervisors in front of every one. It comes with the job. Most are not proud of what they did, but, it was in the heat of the moment, it happens. Usually you never hear of the supervisor getting one in. I am not saying if he did it, it was right, but what I am saying, is it comes with the job.... I don't think any one should lose a job over it... You just have to get even.... just my 2 cents....

In my time at Ford I have seen that "getting even" rarely includes only the guilty parties. Anybody that acts like that should be disciplined. I'd say that there is a good chance that operators will get screwed with just to inconvenience the committeeman or make him look ineffective. When you physically violate a person there should be reprocussions. Clearing offf a desk, kicking items, etc. is just that, actions on inanimate objects. Spitting on someone is just about the most disgusting, demeaning, and risky thing that you can do to a concious person. If you get right down to it, I believe the Ford employees are required to wear PPE if coming in contact with saliva. Doogie should wear a full face shield every time he goes to Marzians' area. That would be a good start.

The Union should push this and make an example of the supervisor. Write-ups are being handed out more than usual to the hourly people and it's about time the Union does a little displanary action of thier own Towards the company.

I agree with you Jimmy and have myself been on both the receiving and the giving end of arguements that resulted in physical or verbal assaults. IMO no one will get disciplined and thats probably how it should be. Because one of these days a committeeman may spit on a supervisor in the heat of battle and I wouldn't want to see him/her get fired. Grow from the battle and live to retaliate. Lay in there and get it Doggy !!!!!

What happen to the post that was put on here yesterday from Fred Willard must of been politically incorrect. It was talking about if he was Gary he would have punched Jeff M. lights out but Gary took the right approach by taking the high road and keeping hes cool . Also that this matter had been sent up North to the international union to handle.
