Was told that committee man said Ford wants to lay off 34 more people at our plant. Anyone else heard anything?

I’ve also heard that Ford will classified workers as ILO when LAP shutdown for retool.

Who started this one? Have to beg and borrow just to run.

If any of this is true, I hope they get the people that are going out of their way to keep the plant running, while our people that are laid off scramble to keep their homes. [In unison] Ignoramus retards: "yeah boss I'll work through lunch, and come in early tomorrow too!"

This came from Fred Willard. Where are people working through lunch?

Word on the street is that Kansas City Assembly has 300 temps. Is that true or does anyone know? And Ford has people on lay off and looking to lose their jobs. What the hell?

Word from the super out in the shop says there will be a rebalance throughout plant which adds up to layoff

How can they do a rebalance with no model change?

Probably by overloading more jobs and cutting out a few people or slowing the line down if sales are tanking.

Make sure you think to yourself, "At least I have a job." Work as hard as you can and have never worked before. This will get more UNION brothers and sisters laid-off and more overtime for you. Don't fight it, yell at those who don't work the overloaded jobs......At least this is what I've got from LAP "people" that have transferred to KTP. "We" try to fight it only to get teased and ridiculed by LAP.......So, no wonder that LAP is/should be laying off they got "company people" behind them! LOL!

SO MYSTERYJIM are you trying to say you are OK with our UNION brothers and sisters getting laid off from a company that seems to be doing ok to where they had a BILLION DOLLAR quarter last quarter to where they are able to give everything back to their salaried employees but lay off their blue collar workers cause they say they need to make "cuts"? Well, I'M NOT! Yes I'm am lucky to still be working, but I know to many that are on ILO right now, that are struggling to pay bills, looking for a job but nothing out there right now. This is just ANOTHER case of Ford wanting to put more money in their pockets and throw more workers out in the street. WHERE IS OUR UNION?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

from what i had heard , that if there was going to be a layoff, that they would go on a voluntary basis, that way it would go from top to bottom, and in'm sure if they don't get enough volunteers , then they would go to the bottom, just like the ktp transfer layoff cut before.

Would like to know where there are extra people to layoff, trim borrows people from other departments just to be able to run every day.
It also a major cost for the company to slow the line speed. We are inside a year for our retool time. Don't see it economically feasible to do that at this time.

That won’t work now ZJ we have limited sub weeks and when your laid off the clock will start ticking, I've heard that even the last crew to be laidoff for retool will now be classified as ILO.

i knw we have limited sub weeks, i have 10 yrs and get 39 weeks, but don't people with 15 or 20 yrs get sub for 52 weeks, i heard the layoff would be addutional 6 mnths added to the retool , so say you vounteer in march or april, and you 52 weeks, you would run out of about the time they satrt calling back the senior people, so i do believe that is why they may try that.

Maybe it would be wise to ask Herb or Steve. Hopefully they may know something to these rumors. If they have had knowledge to these reports before we went on break they should come clean and tell everyone. So Herb or Steve. What have you guys heard on this topic or is it more bathroom rumor. ?
