The museum is running a "Historic Video of the Month" feature on its blog that draws from its collection of short films produced by the motion picture department at Ford Motor Co., which started in 1914.
The clips illustrate the impact of the automobile, industrial manufacturing and design. They also include glimpses of Henry Ford and his family.
Clips are being digitized, cataloged and uploaded to the museum's online collection by staff at the Benson Ford Research Center. They're also being made available to viewers on the video-sharing Web site YouTube.
Henry Ford Museum is part of The Henry Ford, a historical attraction that includes Greenfield Village.
