Just started getting etap instead of sub. The check came in at $177 this is a lot less than expected. Just wondering what the average people on etap that are on unemployment are getting. thanks hope everyone laid off is doing ok.

you are right. Just added it up that between sub pay to etap and a unemployment that was lowered after new claim I am getting $1200 less per month. This year looks like it might be even worse than last year. Cant wait for aug. when we have no health insurance.

wow ackspac that is a huge difference I am guessing you are working somewhere so you get more in etap. Man that is a huge difference. That is what Jim Fisher Stressed in the meeting. Even if you make $9 an hour, your TAP will increase. If you stay on UI, your UI will gradually go down and your TAP will be the bare minimum. I wish everyone else on ILO the best of luck on finding a decent job and getting the most out of your TAP.

Call unemployment and choose "I have returned to full time work" and you will be refused UI and that is all. Fax or take your pay stub to Jan. Her Fax # is 502-364-3641

I guess this is a great ideal for ford to try and push us off their books so they dont have to pay unemployment inc. on us there is always a angle. They only have to pay etap for 26 weeks unemployment just keeps going. I guess I should have went to the meeting lol. If you dont mind me asking ackspac how many hours our you working to get that much in etap. thanks

Yea, I think we should of got some KY jelly from Ford when they set up this whole TAP system. It keeps them from paying SUB (from the original contract) and eliminates UI. Goodluck sonofberl.

Yep it is a crappy time for these changes to take affect. Might be different if unemployment wasn't 10% and we were able to find a job!!
