Heard that the reason we went short today was because of transmission shortage and that balance out will now be pushed back. Also heard that there is a good possibilitie that night shift WILL have to work on Friday.

Last I heard was body and paint balances out late tonight..chassis, trim and final Thursday into early Friday and then 50 2011's off line Friday afternoon. Still a very slim chance of night shift going short on Friday. Unless, of course, someone forgot to order enough engines..I'm just saying...

Yea, body has built all they are going to of the old model so now it just depends how long it takes that last unit to get to the end of chassis. Friday night I believe will still be off for most.

We ran really good in trim on Wednesday night. Its a sea of white trucks, as it always is during those last few hundred trucks at balance out. Word was balance out should be early in the shift on B crew Thursday with the 2011's to follow. Supposedly they want 50 of the 2011's off of chassis before we are off next week. As screwed up as some of the jobs are in trim it will take quite a while for those 50 units to be completed.

Trim went 8 hours today. Still were about 100 jobs from the last 2010 truck hitting line 2, or so I was told. Balance out was a joke as we were running "less stock" on several items already. Hopefully nights will get the 2010 balanced out and start filling the lines, but expect a big skip as stock will need to be changed out on many jobs.

yep, 8 today in tire room as well....fortunately we have a float between tire room and where they install them on chassis, so we will most likely go short tomorrow..nights should balance out tonight

SUV trim nightshift is now cancelled. I just got a automated call from labor. Who would have thought a call from labor would have made my day?!
