I'm on ILO right now and, if asked, I'm not going to Chicago. First of all, I want to say everybody's situation is different. It's too much trouble to move for such a short time in my situation. We just expanded our family. I'm happy with our neighborhood. I have to admit I could get on my wife's insurance policy if needed. I think most of all, it will be too much red tape in trying to transfer back. I'm sure once I get up there and it's time to transfer back, they will find something you didn't do clerically to keep you there. My wife and I are just going to wait it out. I think what will happen is I will be working at KTP first before I get back to LAP. I think alot of KTPers will want to return to LAP. As for those coming possibly from Kansas City, I don't think there will be many takers. I'm sure there will be a few who want a fresh start. However, talking with some Atlanta transfers, they say the same B.S. is at LAP as was there in Atlanta. One thing I want everybody to keep in mind is that LAP will be different, also. I'm sure there will be new supervisors. I think, also, they will be pressured dearly to get these new vehicles off the line. I hope I have a similiar job when I return, but I'm not counting on it. I did want to say again that everybody's situation is different and with my situation, I will not be going to Chicago. I hope the Union can stall the loss of our benefits. It's just for a short time before we lose these benefits. I wish the Union could work out a deal with Ford. I'm sure CAP and Ford would rather have the $14/hour new hires than $30/hour person. It would save alot of headaches and lots of money of retraining people who replace the ones transfering back to LAP.
