i am going to the union meeting tuesday. i have 1 very important question, that im sure that alot of people are wanting to know. WILL I BE ABLE TO RETURN TO L.A.P., WHEN THEY ARE DONE RETOOLING??? I dont want to have to stay up there for the rest of my career @ ford. but i do want to go up there and work. some people are saying yes, u can come back, then i hear a small minority sayin no once ur there u have to stay. somebody from the union pleaze, pleaze, pleaze clarify this for me

drew, Brother it seems as though we are on the same page, I will go up north to work, but I want to come home! I dont mind spending 1 to 2 years at chicago, I just want to know that I can come home. Somebody clear this up before I get a call!

Heres what i was told , You are going to get a call and ask you if you what to follow your product to chicago if you say yes you have no recall rights. If not enough to fill jobs then they will ask for volunteers to go to Chicago at that point you do have recall rights. Next if they still dont have enough people to fill postions then they will ask you to go to chicago and if you say no you will recieve a strike and all benefits will stop,but if you have seniorty on someone in zone you can bump someone and they will have to go to chicago.
