To whom, I am currently on ILO from LAP and working for Dakkota Integrated Systems. As many may know they are a supplier for KTP. I am doing "MY" job that should inside of the Ford Plant and need the UAW to fight to get these jobs back to FORD. Period, I can't see that it is saving Ford much money at all if any with the overhead incurred not to mention the many many trucks that it takes to cart these products back and forth down Chamberlain Ln. Lets get them Back!

ilomisery, I have been waiting since dec.11 to hear from Dakkota. I went to the orientation a month ago. Any word on if they need people? I worked there for two weeks and it sucked. I was put on the worst job in the plant that none of the other workers would do. If you get on there, check your hours on your pay stub because Express will rip you off and act like they dont know what your talking about. From what I understand Ford will be getting the IPs back at both plants in 2011. Dakkota is really a joke. They say they are part of the UAW but they dont want any UAW mentality in there. They got pissed when I asked why their brakes and lunches were so short and not inline with Fords. I really hope you all of you on ILO can find something better then this place and I wish you the best of luck!

I would call over and talk to Jennifer ASAP, now is probably a good time to get in as they are launching the new trucks at ktp and have lost a couple people lately.

Lets get them Back! The savings to the company is in not having to pay benefits. When you add in health, dental, vision, life insurance, workman's comp, unemployment ins., sub-pay, profit sharing LOL, etc. it adds up to a lot of money that they do not have to fork out. However, the bean counters aren't always right. Sometimes they forget to figure in "cause and effect". We now have two polish people on the line in the shop to buff out the dirt "cause" they did away with the booth cleaner job and Premier cannot "effectively" clean the booths. They did away with one booth cleaner per shift and added two extra polish jobs per shift. I think the bean counter put the beans in his pipe and smoked them!

I am at Dakkota and they will work you to death for $10.35/hr. And the breaks are 10 minutes. I got to find something else. Do anyone know of anymore suppliers that are hiring or that I can put in an application at. Any info on AQL or CEVA? A contact person? Please let me know something.

I recently put in an app with AQL. Does anyone on here work there? And is the work pretty decent? Also do they do the 2 week shutdown like Ford and Dakkota?

Yes,I do,but I am gonna tell ya,there isn't a lot going on there now.It has slowed down tremendously.I have been working there since Jan. and haven't had a 40 hr. check in about a month.Union busting and outsourcing is at a all time high. I am really fed up with the way things are being handled by our Union.Internationally and locally.I have been outspoken about this on all levels.Like petitioning,to make I-U.A.W. reps run for election instead the whole appointed deal.Obviously, things are not to the satisfaction of work force nationally. It's not a mystery. Here is a very interesting website.......http://unionfacts.com/unions/unionProfile.cfm?id=149

Hey guys, to anyone looking for a job. Dana is hiring immediately through Manpower at the Hurstborne office. $11.30 /hr to start and we are on 6 days/12 hrs. Its not too bad of work. And also, Westport Axle/logistics has immediate openings at $10/hr. Easier work there and only 40 hours or so. Apply at Westport's HR office. I put in an application and got called for an immediate interview and drug screen that day for both places. Good luck.
