Only 8 people signed up to go to Chi town. 4 ILO and 4 currently in plant.

Does that mean 4 on ILO will be called to replace the 4 currently working?

Does that mean 4 on ILO will be called to replace the 4 currently working? that should be the case. when we got ILO'd we were told that the union would make sure that open positions were filled, and that they would keep us updated on how many they had filled. i have yet to see ANY.

I have decided that after 9 years at Ford that if the company doesnt want yo to do something and the union doesnt want you to do something, then it is probably in your best interest to do that something. I will be at labor Monday signing up. Good working with you all, but I am gonna roll the dice. Biggest difference between LAP and Chicago.... Chicago population vs Louisville can u handle the crowds Cost of housing Chicago is high Traffic Chicago the city never sleeps, Louisville roads poorly designed spaghetti junction that dude was smoking strange shit But if you do decide Chicago is for you, eat at Ed DeBevics, Shamburg is nice.. Miracle Mile etc Blackhawks, Bulls, Bears, OH my Are you a little bit country or a little bit rock n roll Some people will welcome you others will resent the fact you were born it happens be prepared

First off, I never said that I was gonna live in Chicago, I am more alt-country(Drive-by Truckers, Lucero, Bottle Rockets..ETC..) AS far as how people react to me bieng there, quite frankly I dont give a flying F**K! Im there to do a job and anyone who knows me will tell you I work fine by myself and I decide wheather you are worth given the time of day to.

Just a rumor: I have a friend that went to KC Assembly Plant when SLAP closed, she told me there is a strong rumor that her plant will close and Escape production would move to LAP. Has anyone heard that? Why Ford would do this makes no sense! Close a plant that is currrently running and making good selling product and move production to LAP? Even if they did this, the people working at the KC plant could follow the product. If I hear further info I will pass it along.

How many out there believe if the Escape,Mariner and Kuga all come to LAP that only one shift would run for a year especially since Escape is the best selling SUV Ford has right now.

Once again...There is not going to be an Escape and Kuga. What is now the European Kuga will be renamed the Escape and produced on the C1 platform.

No one can predict the shifts needed...just remember KCAP will still be building the Escape, so yes one shift may be all is needed at LAP until they quit building the Escape at KCAP. Until then, LAP will be the Escape overflow plant, which means one shift.

Don't trust anybody but yourself, I'm telling ya', it's gonna get tight, some folks are gonna get left out, who knows where and when but bank on it happening somewhere, this aint my first rodeo.

Trust me I dont believe anything is a done deal, I was just saying that this is not a new story. As a matter of fact I read on blue oval yesterday from someone at K.C that they are now getting the new escape/kuga & we are getting the fiesta. All rumors, I agree with you 100%, believe it when you see it.
