rudedawg great find. I love how people talk down to different parts of cities they never been to. I live out in Oldham county and I always here people talk bad about Louisville as if crime happens 24/7. I grew up in the city and will move back once my kids go off to college. My wife is from Crestwood and will see how nice it is to live in the middle of Louisville. She said when busing started back in the 70s every redneck from the city moved out here.

If you don't wanna live in Indiana...areas around Joliet, IL are pretty nice too.

If you don't wanna live in Indiana...areas around Joliet, IL are pretty nice too. very nice out that way. WAY, WAY higher tax rates though. there are alot of tax breaks for living on the indiana side, its kind of a no brainer.

Yeah, but you don't have Chicago taxes. The idea is to live outside of the city limits. Northern Indiana is pretty rough. You have to go a ways to get out of Gary and the surrounding high crime areas. Aurora/Naperville areas are my favorite, but the drive will suck. Check out Mokena and Frankfort in Illinois as well. Frankfort looks like a great small town. I have already done my research...these two towns would be my choice probably or drive a few mins east....and pow, you are in Indiana.

LOL...I like Indiana...the towns I listed are literally 10 mins or less from the state border.
