Union Meeting: Union Meeting March 9 at 12 and 6pm. Chamberlain Union Hall
Congratulations : Our very own George Palmer has been selected as an
International Region 3 Rep. for the Indianapolis Area, Effective immediately.
Local 862 is reestablishing itself to have voices where it matters.
Hourly Optional Employee and Dependent Life Insurance: Open enrollment period
begins March 15 and extends till April 16. To Enroll or Raise your coverage,
please call 1-800-742-8215, between the hours of 9:30am to 5:30pm, Monday thru
Friday. Also please make sure you have updated your beneficiary since things
have changed in your life.
Kentucky Kingdom Pass Reimbursement: Refunds will take place at the union
meeting March 9th from 10am to 7:30pm. If you can not make the meeting, then the
refunds will be available on March 10 thru 31st at the Fern Valley Rd union hall
from 8am – 3pm. You must have your voucher to get reimbursed for your
tickets.
Derby Activities: We have several Derby Volunteer Activities that you can
sign-up for in Labor Relations. Water Stop for Mini Marathon, Balloon Glow and
Derby Parade.
Kentucky Speedway Tickets: UAW/Ford Employees can enjoy NASCAR Racing Action
Saturday June 12th at the Meijer 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series Event. Enjoy a
Free Concert before the race with Sawyer Brown. Tickets are on sale for .00
each, CASH ONLY. See Ralph Napier or call 3674.
HELP WANTED: Volunteers are wanted to help in planning the Celebration of the
“Last Explorer” at Louisville Assembly Plant. We are calling for ideas,
songs, designs for memorabilia, anything to make the celebration for all LAP
employees past and present great. Anyone interested in volunteering or have
ideas, please call Ralph at 3674, Vera at 3973 or write down and give to your
committeeperson.
Spirit Cups for March of Dimes: Employee Involvement is selling 3D Spirit Cups
for March of Dimes. You can get a set of 4--18oz., dishwasher safe, for dollars
a set. Cash Only. All Pro and College Teams available. Place orders just in time
for Easter.
Concealed Deadly Weapons Class: State Mandated CCDW training class and gun
qualifications are being made available to all UAW members and family for
each. Cash Only. The next training class will be Feb. 28, Sunday, 8am to 4pm at
Jeffersontown Masonic Lodge #744 located at 10411 Watterson Trail. Any question

Need to Talk : The UAW Employee Assistance Program is a UAW negotiated benefit
that is available to all employees and eligible spouses and dependents. The EAP
is committed to working with UAW/Ford employees in resolving marital and family
issues, mental health such as severe tension, anxiety, anger, depression,
bipolar disorder, financial counseling, alcohol and substance abuse. Contact
your EAP representative Kevin Bush 364-3659 or pager 621-4806 for a confidential
assessment.
Chicago Update: We had 8 people signed up to Transfer with Operations to
Chicago, Permanently. 4 ILO and 4 Active. The Volunteer Job Posting for
Chicago has not came down yet, as soon as we get the notice, it will be
posted on the web site and a robo call will go out.
Tentative Dates: Last Explorer will be built Nov. 24th. First Tooling Tryout
Built unit looks like May 1 for Body, Program Prove Out looks like Sept-Oct.
First Built Production Unit of Escape/Mariner looks like Dec. 1, with 2 full
shifts up and running. All is SUBJECT TO CHANGE!!!!
Plant Emergency Info will be notified through the following communications
