We will be going to a 10 hr schedule starting sometime around the week of April 6th........no mention of every other saturday but would be very surprised if we didn't have some saturdays scheduled....this info per bargaining committee.

Hmmmm , MUST be talking about Super Duty trim, if U trim starts going 10 EVERY day, and every other Sat. then the order bank will disappear in less than 2 months. 340 a day- x 5 days, plus Sat = about 2000 a week.

I hope we don't work the weekend of the 10th...machine gun shoot at Knob Creek. I will have to get off if we are scheduled for that one.

My committeeman said the same thing except he said it would be closer to 9 hours and this is only going to last a few weeks while we make up for lost units. He said 9or 9.5 depending on how many parts vendors can supply. Id rather work 10 than work Saturdays during the summer.

They need to get all the problems lined out before they start working overtime making more "junk" that needs to be repaired! They also need to get the workloads lined out so they can keep the line running. BUT this is FORD so we all know what will happen

Wont happen in body or paint with the 3 shifts working there already.

Sorry, but I can't see it happening..it looks great on paper, but since we picked up the U's paint/body won't be able to keep up. The 10 hrs was tried before and we couldn't keep up then...maybe in a perfect world, but remember we all work @ford Motor. If body goes down at all, we lose too much time bringing them over to paint...U's take up twice the amount of space of a normal Super Duty and that slows us down terribly then we run too much air.

ktpgal is right. Though I do believe they want 10 hours they can't keep that up. It will be 9.2 to 9.5, I don't think they believe they can run more than that.

Hey Ironman, there is one place they can work 10 hours in Body and from what I understand, it's already begun. Remember that shift on boxline that was cut out which included you and I? To Kess, at what point does this become pertinent again? When A Crew boxline was eliminated, I asked that very question about whether or not there would be OT on boxline. You guys did eventually get that cut off after the transition to two shifts but here we go again. Don't mean to gripe Kess, and I'm sure you guys have already started looking at this, but it needs addressing the more they need trucks. P.S. Still feeling the pain in my posterior after running that show for twelve and a half years. Appreciate any feedback you might have on this Bryan!

Box line has already been told they can work 10 hours any night management chooses to do so. I am still on the box line for one more week. One of the main reasons I am happy to leave is working 9-10 hours. I want no part of that...give me 8 straight, no more.

Slimer, Boxline working 10 hours won't result in putting the shift back in, we need it to go beyond that. Though we do use that to push the need for it. If you remember when they first cut it out, our biggest issue is that they were trying to staff it during the down hours bewtween the shifts, not just work 10 hours.
This wasn't just an issue you guys were unhappy with we were to. Even though none of us like it the company still has sole right to setup the shifts of production. Lets hope that running 10 hours alone doesn't fill the need they have for boxes. Though that only leaves 4 hours in the day, if they need more than 10x2 hopefully we can get the shift back. These next few weeks will let us all know if this setup will truely continue to work. There have only been 2 issues I feel we couldn't take SOME control over since I have been on the BC and this is one of them.
LOL , and I understand yopur posterior concerns. You helped us with countless issues over the years. Why the name slimer though? If you are who I think you are you don't seem all that slimey to me.

Best of luck to you on your move Scottr. Sorry I never got a chance to meet you but I've been on closure since Box A Crew got cut. Got some friends still over there though. Don't believe everything you hear about me. Kess, thanks for the reply. Just had to vent after former teammates started ringing my cell phone on numerous occasions about the issue. About my identity, you are probably dead on. Thought maybe the team leader reference might clue you in. About the name slimer, that's an old nickname someone hung me with before I ever got to Ford. Next time I see you, I'll fill you in on how I got the nickname. Aren't I a tease!!!!

Thanks slimer...the move should be great. The biggest reason I moved to KTP, other than change, was for the opportunity to work 11-7. It only took me a little over a year to get there, so I feel blessed.
