Weekly Update March 25, 2010
Order Bank: Explorer 4798, Mountaineer 317, Sport Trac 456, Total 5852
Easter Egg Hunt: Saturday April 3, KTP union Hall, from 11:30am till 3pm.
The actual hunt will begin at 1pm. The hunt is only for age groups 6 months
through 10 yrs old. All participants children must be active and retiree
dependent children, within the age groups. There are no prizes for the
most eggs.
March of Dimes: The Employee Resources Committee will be taking orders for
Honeybaked Hams for the holidays. Orders will be delivered to the plant
on Thursday April 1st. We will also be having a Krispy Kreme doughnut
sale on Thursday April 1st. You will be able to pre-order doughnuts and
they will be delivered to your work station that morning. Please call 3674
or 3649 to place your order, or someone from the committee can come out and
have you fill out an order form. Glazed donuts will be , and Glazed
Chocolate donuts will be .
NCAA Bracket Leader Board : 44 points – Marlene Smith and Austin
Harrison, 43 points – Michael C, 42 points – Penny Allen and Angela
Weathers, 41 points – Darren Steineman and Donald Dewilde, and 6 people
at 40 points.
Day off Forms: Anyone needing a day off, should be filling out the Day off
Slip, provided by the Supervisor. Each Zone is allowed 8% contractually,
page 34, please schedule your June eligible time for personals and
vacations. Only 20 hours of unscheduled personal time is eligible to be
paid.
Yoga Classes : Class Week Days: Tuesday and Thursday, Class Start
and End Dates: April 6th thru June 24th, 2010, Class Start Time: 4:45 pm
– 5:45 pm, Class Location: LAP Union Hall, 3000 Fern Valley Rd -
Small Hall. Location may change with class size. Any first time
participants may bring the following items for class -
-Comfortable clothes that allow freedom of movement
-Yoga Mat (preferably a Yoga Kit that includes a mat, strap, blocks)
-Yoga Mats and kits can be purchased at most retail stores and online. They
usually cost between -.
The time and dates of the classes have been established because of the
instructor's set schedule.

UAW Bass Tournament: “DATE CHANGE” The UAW Bass tournament is open to all
UAW Hourly and Retirees, who pay dues and is a member good standing. Everyone in
the boat must be card carrying members. The Tournament is May 16, at Barren
River Lake, Starts at 7am. Entry fee is per boat. Deadline to pay entry fee is
May 10, must be received at the UAW FernValley union hall.
UAW Black Lake Family Vacation: Anyone wishing to take their family to Black
Lake this summer must fill out an application; available at the hall. The dates
available are July 11-16, July 18-23 and July 25-30. Dependents up to the age of
18 are welcome.
Autotruck Credit Union: Direct Deposit Bonus Program ending soon. Open a
New Checking Account with Direct Deposit and let us make your first deposit. You
will earn up to a 0.00 Dollar Bonus. For more information call 459-8981.
Physical checks will be ending.
Product Quality: As we all know our success depends on the quality of the
vehicle we produce. Many of you have already experienced issues concerning bad
stock or parts that are just not up to the standards we demand. Please be
vigilant to protect our customers and our jobs. The last Explorer should be the
Best one we Build!!! Rejected stock back on line, sub-par parts shipped from
vendors, and discolored or marred parts are not acceptable. If your stock has
changed or is bad Call our Quality Rep. at 3588 and please don't put bad parts
on our trucks!! As we get closer to balancing out the Explorer this may become a
bigger issue. Take the time to look at your parts, stock and the truck to make
sure everything looks good.
DeWalt/ Black & Decker Factory Service Center: Across from the plant. Metro
Louisville has a program for it’s residences that allows them to save up to
0.00 off a new electric or cordless mower and savings on other qualifying
products. Along with this program we would like to extend an additional 10% off
for Ford employees. In these tough times we could use all the help available and
these could be substantial savings for the hard working folks at Ford. The
information on the program is at

Down Weeks: Sales and Marketing have tentatively canceled all down weeks for
the year. Not to say we will not have a vendor or supplier issue that may cause
an issue, but at this time there is none scheduled.
