The launch of the Explorer is right around the corner. Three build phases are quickly approaching us. The TT build, which is 74 units, is scheduled to begin 5/17. The U502’s second build is the PP build, where the plant will build 105 units beginning 8/2. The MP1 build of 400 units is scheduled to begin 10/4. Job#1 is scheduled for November. If you have any input or concerns please make sure that your issues are captured on the white board. Either contact a member of the launch or let an elected or appointed rep know. The earlier we capture issues, the higher likelihood the plant has to resolve them.
HERE IS WHAT PRODUCTION’S WORK SCHEDULE LOOKS LIKE FOR THE NEXT FEW MONTHS. Production is currently scheduled to work 5-10 hour days through the end of March. For April, Fridays have been added for 4/9, 4/16 and 4/23 due to recent production losses. (Subject to change) April 2nd is a Easter holiday. Members not working this day will receive 8 hours holiday pay. Our plant shutdown is currently scheduled for the weeks of 6/28 and 7/5. These dates can change all the way until 4/1 per Art 9, sect 25 pages 131, 132 of Collective Bargaining agreement. While this statement is true, these dates seem pretty solid due to the necessity of the line speed increase. There are currently no down weeks scheduled for CAP other than plant shutdown dates above.
