"WORKERS MEMORIAL PRAYER VIGIL"
UAW Local 862 Chaplaincy Committee will be hosting a "Workers Memorial
Prayer at the Flagpole" come and join us on April 28, 2010 Wednesday, 4:40
P.M. at Louisville Assembly Plant in front of the administration
building at the flag pole. Every year this memorial is held in
remembrance of our brothers & sisters who died while working in our plants.
All employees Hourly or Salary are welcome to attend. We encourage
everyone to continue to pray for the future our plant, leadership and the
emotional/spiritual welfare of our brothers & sisters especially those
who are laid off & losing there benefits. If you can't make it to the
vigil, please remember us in prayer. Caring in the Workplace.
UAW Bass Tournament: “DATE CHANGE” The UAW Bass tournament is open to
all UAW Hourly and Retirees, who pay dues and is a member good standing.
Everyone in the boat must be card carrying members. The Tournament is May
16, at Barren River Lake, Starts at 7am. Entry fee is per boat.
Deadline to pay entry fee is May 10, must be received at the UAW FernValley
union hall.
LAP Last Day: Tentatively, LAP last official day is still Nov. 23, 2010.
Sport Trac should be about a month sooner. We are going through a lot as a
plant that we have never seen or been through before. Reductions in
classifications of some high seniority off line operations, line speed
reductions in different areas, and end of the quarter balance outs. More
changes are coming as the Explorer comes to an end very soon. What is about
to take place here at LAP is new Ground Breaking territory for Ford, LAP
and all of us.
Need to Talk : The UAW Employee Assistance Program is a UAW negotiated
benefit that is available to all employees and eligible spouses and
dependents. The EAP is committed to working with UAW/Ford employees in
resolving marital and family issues, mental health such as severe tension,
anxiety, anger, depression, bipolar disorder, financial counseling, alcohol
and substance abuse. Contact your EAP representative Kevin Bush 364-3659 or
pager 621-4806 for a confidential assessment.
Rumor Facts: Your seniority and retirement credits will continue the
whole time we are on TLO. You will accrue personal and vacation time the
whole time we are off.
Remember to save your money UAW
