KTP Chairman's Report
• Order Bank: Super Duty is 30,262 units; Expedition is 8,710 units; Navigator is
2,002 units.
• Repair program will be on going for the next two weeks. The plan is to have all
major repairs done by April 30, 2010. All units that have been repaired will be
going back toe-in and the CAL line. There are 6500 units left to repair.
• Uniform distribution for all back orders and incorrect orders will be April 20-22 at
gate 6 from 1pm-6pm and 10pm-1am.
• The optional hourly and dependant life insurance forms must be post dated by
this Friday April 16, 2010.
• Anyone that has not signed up for direct deposit will have a letter mailed to them
this week. If you have not signed up and do not receive this letter please inform
labor relations and update your address. Starting June 6, 2010, anyone not
having direct deposit will have checks mailed to them.
• To view your check stub online, you must have your password set up by April 15,
2010. If you do not it will make it more difficult to set up your account.
• Please make sure that all your personal information is correct in labor relations.
We are seeing a larger than normal number of employees being terminated for 5
day quits. If your information is not correct you cannot be contacted.
• Job rebalances are on going in the P trim shop. UAW time standards and Ford
engineers are meeting daily to resolve any issues. Remember to keep safety
and quality the first priorities.
• We are building 23 PP units for the launch of the 2011 Expedition/Navigator this
week. Job 1 for the launch is scheduled to be August 16, 2010.
• August 2, 2010, will be the launch for our MOD Center. We have twelve new
items to offer to our customers.
• April 28, 2010, we will have a ceremony in front of the plant to honor all active
workers that have died while at work. The ceremony will include the planting of a
tree and a marble plaque with all the names of employees from KTP that have
died on the job.
• The plant vendor of 4x4 modules is having issues supplying enough parts to run
full production. This vendor supplies KTP along with Kansas City Assembly and
the Rouge. This issue is day to day with the hope that the issue will be resolved
by the end of the week. Any change in the work schedule will be communicated
to employees via the "robo-calls." Please make sure that your number is correct
in labor relations.
• Employees that are not affected are stamping, shop and line repair, drivers, predelivery
and toe-in and rolls. Some team leaders and VAT's in certain
departments will be working and they will be notified by their supervisor.
• I would like to thank everyone that has been working the long hours to get our
trucks repaired and ready for the customer. Your hard work and dedication are
examples of why this is the best workforce in the country.
