The Voluntary Posting for the Chicago Assembly Plant has not been sent to the
Plant as of 6:00 am Thursday. As soon as we receive it, I will post it on
uawlap.org. Also, during the posting period we will have an informational
meeting at the union hall for active and members on layoff after the shift.
Uniform Handout: Yes, it is true, they are here. All uniforms can be
picked-up in the Special Events Rm in the main cafeteria. Times for each
day will be 7am to 3:30pm. Each day will be separated by your first initial
of your last name. Monday is A thru I, Tuesday is J thru R, Wednesday is S
thru Z, and Thursday is pick-up for anyone who missed their day. Pick-up
after next week will be in the ERC Office at F-18, from 5:30am till
10:05am.
Voting Notice: We will have voting for the Constitutional Convention
Delegates and Trustee. The voting will take place at the Union Hall from
Sunday April 25th at 4pm till Tuesday April 27th at 7am. Please have Ford
ID ready. All current, ILO and Retired members are encouraged to vote.
March of Dimes: 50/50 drawings 0 was #44 Aaron Baker, 0 was #64 Big E
and Gale.
Derby Winners: 1st Prize 00 Mary Lietner, 2nd Prize Thunder Night Stay
Chris McPeak, 3rd Prize 0 Gift Card Rob Allen, and the Winner of the Derby
Hat was Lillian Graves.
UAW Supports: The UAW has endorsed our own Jeff Donohue for District 37
State Representative. There will be a Fundraiser April 23, 2010, 7pm to
11pm at Fat Daddy’s, 10619 West Manslick Rd, Live music.
$500 Cash Savings: KY Farm Bureau members can get an extra 0 dollars off

Veterans Benefit Connection: If you are a Veteran and have any questions
about your benefits and all you may qualify for, please contact the
Louisville Area Office direct, Aaron Clarke and Lisa Pittman at

Committee Area Change: Bargainer Herb Hibbs will be handling the
Stock Department starting Monday April 26. Currently stock has no dedicated
committee representative to field questions and your committee is resolving
the issue.
Short Work Week: Short Work Week benefits are based on the State Work week
Sunday thru Saturday. Short Work Week is only paid prior to the OT survey
opportunity available. So if you worked or turned down OT prior to the
week on Sunday or during the week, you would loose your SWW benefit.
Mini Marathon Water Stop: The Mini Marathon Water Stop Volunteers need to
be at 4th and Kentucky by 6:30am Saturday morning. Please try and be on
time or early. We are having some changes to the stop this year and we are
expecting rain. So wear proper attire for the weather and fun. See you

Chicago Info: No word yet on the Volunteer Posting. International is still
going through the criteria that everyone will follow and which plants
should and should not be eligible to have sign-ups. As soon as we know
something we will get it out to everyone.
"WORKERS MEMORIAL PRAYER VIGIL"
UAW Local 862 Chaplaincy Committee will be hosting a "Workers Memorial
Prayer at the Flagpole" come and join us on April 28, 2010 Wednesday, 4:40
P.M. at Louisville Assembly Plant in front of the administration
building at the flag pole. Every year this memorial is held in
remembrance of our brothers & sisters who died while working in our plants.
All employees Hourly or Salary are welcome to attend. We encourage
everyone to continue to pray for the future our plant, leadership and the
emotional/spiritual welfare of our brothers & sisters especially those who
are laid off & losing there benefits.
UAW Bass Tournament: “DATE CHANGE” The UAW Bass tournament is open to
all UAW Hourly and Retirees, who pay dues and is a member good standing.
Everyone in the boat must be card carrying members. The Tournament is May
16, at Barren River Lake, Starts at 7am. Entry fee is per boat.
Deadline to pay entry fee is May 10, must be received at the UAW FernValley
union hall.
Rumor Facts: Clarification– You will not have to claim your personal and
vacation time while you are laid off drawing UI or Sub. We are working
next week, unless parts are diverted to another Plant to keep them running
instead.
