And then there are just Americans. You pass me on the street and

But when I call you, braves, Kike, Towel head, Sand-braves, Camel
Jockey, Beaner, Gook, or Chink ..

You call me a racist.

You say that whites commit a lot of violence against you... so why are
the ghettos the most dangerous places to live?

You have the United Negro College Fund.

You have Martin Luther King Day.

You have Black History Month.

You have Cesar Chavez Day.

You have Yom Hashoah. You have Ma'uled Al-Nabi.

You have the NAACP. You have BET... If we had WET (White
Entertainment Television), we'd be racists.

If we had a White Pride Day, you would call us racists.

If we had White History Month, we'd be racists.

If we had any organization for only whites to 'advance' OUR lives,
we'd be racists.

We have a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a Black Chamber of Commerce,
and then we just have the plain Chamber of Commerce. Wonder who pays
for that??

A white woman could not be in the Miss Black American pageant, but any
color can be in the Miss America pageant.

If we had a college fund that only gave white students scholarships...
You know we'd be racists.

There are over 60 openly proclaimed Black Colleges in the US . Yet if
there were 'White colleges', that would be a racist college.

In the Million Man March, you believed that you were marching for your
race and rights. If we marched for our race and rights, you would
call us racists.

You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange, and you're not
afraid to announce it. But when we announce our white pride, you call
us racists.

You rob us, carjack us, and shoot at us. But, when a white police
officer shoots a black gang member or beats up a black drug dealer
running from the law and posing a threat to society, you call him a
racist.

I am proud... But you call me a racist.

Why is it that only whites can be racists??

Coming from a family of mixed heritage, I found that the "Race Card" is played when the other side is in a losing battle or has no recourse to the discussion. I myself am sick and tired of seeing special treatment to other religions, races, etc. because they are different then mine. The ACLU has taken over what is right and what is wrong (or what is racist and what is not) and they will not hesitate to label me because I think people like Rev. Wright are racist. There are companies (here in Louisville) owned by minorities and only hire minorities but if I had my own company of my own heritage and only hired people of my own heritage, then I would be labeled a racist. So to those of you who think Iam a racist, I owe you nothing, my family owes you nothing, society owes you nothing and life itself owes you nothing. Get up off your ass and make something of yourself that is a benefit to everyone who is an American in general not just one race, because in reality, that makes you a racist. I believe that everyone is created equal and when someone trys to throw that equality off balance then you become a worthless piece of crap. Just my two cents in this dog and pony show.

I have to show my ID when I get stopped by the police or if they feel the need to just ask for it, but it is racial profiling to ask someone who looks hispanic for theirs.

I see a lot of truth in marcus' first post. I am both of mexican origin and white (not sure the background of my mother's whiteness lol), so people of all color seem to identify with me and tell me whatever is on their mind about whatever race.
I think it is the non-white races that are keeping 'minorities' segregated. They choose to put themselves into their own groups instead of just American (i.e; NAACP, Hispanic College Fund). For people that put emphasis on how their ancestors were once discriminated against, they sure do a lot of discriminating! lol
Marcus, be proud of who you are. There is nothing wrong with being white, just don't expect any of the 'freebies the rest of us get! Hahaha!

So you say all of that to say what? are you agreeing with me? because you should, no matter who is on the board which consists of many people! BET is white owned. CEOs, presidents, chairmen or should I say chairpersons come and go but owner ship is ownership did you research VIACOM? Then there is only one answer. end of the day BET is not rasist it is a business it feels a void that was not there for a extremely large consumer base! Which happens to be black people!
