March of Dimes: The March of Dimes walk is Saturday at Slugger Field,
8:30am for Team photo and the actual walk starts at 9:00am. Anyone wishing
to participate in the walk can donate dollars and receive an official
March of Dimes LAP Shirt. All UAW/Ford family members are welcome to
attend.
Congratulations: Amanda Goins was elected Trustee. 183 to 166. She would like
to say thank you to everyone for their vote of confidence. We are
sure she will represent the members passionately.
UAW Bass Tournament: “DATE CHANGE” The UAW Bass tournament is open to
all UAW Hourly and Retirees, who pay dues and is a member good standing.
Everyone in the boat must be card carrying members. The Tournament is May
16, at Barren River Lake, Starts at 7am. Entry fee is per boat.
Deadline to pay entry fee is May 10, must be received at the UAW FernValley
union hall.
Non-perishable Food Drive: The Letter Carriers food drive is this
Saturday, May 8th. Please place non-perishable food items in a bag by your
mailbox. Also if you want to volunteer to help sort the food as it comes to
the post office, please come to the Crums Lane Post Office (3131 Crums
Lane) at 1:30p.m. this Saturday, May 8th. Please wear UAW attire to know
who is represented in the community.
Uniform Pick-up: Anyone that did not pick up your uniforms can do so by
going to Labor Relations and seeing Jan Stieff. If you know of anyone on
medical please get with Ralph Napier, 3674, so we can pull their uniforms
and hold them.
Union Meeting: Union Meeting is Tuesday May 11, 12pm and 6pm at KTP
Raffle Winners: Boom Box Morgan Vance, TV Frank Burkhardt, IPOD Touch

June Eligible Employees: Make sure you have scheduled all your vacation
and personal time before the last week of May or you will loose it. Only 2
days of personal time will be eligible for pay if not used.
Family Leave Days: Make sure you use you FML Days before we go down in
November because the contract will expire while we are TLO and you will
loose the time.
Thank You: We would like to say thanks to everyone that volunteered their
time to show their UAW pride and community spirit. We had a great response
and lots of praise for each event we sponsored in the Derby Festival events.
Show your colors all the time.

Softball Player Openings: There is a need for a few good softball players
for a Sunday night league at St. Athanasius, game times are 7,8 and 9pm.
Must be an UAW member. Please call the union office 3654 and leave your
name and number for Gary Clark.
UAW/Ford Discounts: 25% discount on Porter Paints with Ford ID, Wendy's on
Fern Valley gives a 10% discount with Ford ID.
Rumor Facts: Clarification– We are running close on several parts
because of weather issues but should have enough to run today and next
week. LAP Explorer last day is still Nov. 24.
