18 to 25 would definitely put you in the top 10% I believe. Middle of the pack is '93-94.

scott thank you for replying have been reading your board for a few years you rock... have talked to some people and think maybe two to three hundred would follow escape. you guys have room? I appreciate your inquiry, but I have to ask a simple question. Why would so many follow an outgoing product to a plant with no written guaranty of product while KAP is getting the C platform? The Escape orders in the future will go down. The C-platform compiles many different products on the same platform. It locks KAP into the future of Ford motor company. I question your number but I am more curious as to your reasons for departure. Locally, not many followed the Explorer to Chicago. I also question if the new Kuga will be the Escape replacement.( No one locally will touch that with a ten foot pole) As for Scott's answer, it is right on. I was middle of the pack with Apr. '94 at LAP before I left for KTP. If any decide to follow their product they will like the hospitality of Louisville. We have been a melting pot of sorts for many different plants.

everyone has different reasons for wanting to follow the escape, I can only speculate that alot of people here are from the glass plant in Tenn, the hvc in Indy, Atlanta assembly, Slap and are getting closer to home. The number may be off but alot of people are thinking about it. I do believe Kcap has a future this place has tons of space under roof and thousands of acres around it. WE build world class cars and trucks, and would make a great addition to your already great team there in Kentucky.For me I would be coming home, born in louiosville.

Just a word of warning. Louisville is nothing better than a big Trailer Park. I currently live in a 1 and a 1/2 trailer. It use to be a double wide but all the tornados we get has taken part of the back off. The sewers back up constantly and most of the city has to boil water for weeks at a time just to have drinking water. The city Government always run out of money which shuts down garbage pick up for months. There's so much garbage flying around that our cars overheat because of the trash that gets hung up in out radiators. Not to mention that some of races at Churchill Downs only have five horses in them. That alone is a good indicator of a city in dire straits. Hope this helps and look forward to meeting y'all.
Yur Bud;
Tired of falling back seniority wise

Sorry for the slow response time, we have to take turns climbing the telephone pole to get on the dial up internet. To answer your question, the indoor plumbing only works after it rains, if that's what you meant. Like Rudedog was saying, the camping here isn't to bad. Just bring your own firewood, and lots of bottled water. A few other notes about Kentucky: -Avoid the campsites next to the alligator farms even if they are cheaper. -While the race track is down to 5 horses the equine deli next door to it, has some good sandwichs. -The weather isn't to bad, just tie down any kids that weigh under 200 pounds, and sew name tags on all of your clothes. -On Sundays we all gather at the revival tents for the snake bitings. Reverend Jethro has the biggest rattle-headed-copper-mocassin snake in 5 counties. -Please do not try to cash in on your co-workers for closely resembling those guys on "Americas Most Wanted" it's bad for work area moral. -And if you aren't married yet please bring a spouse with you, we don't need any more competition at the family reunions.

We at KCAP have no product commited to us after the Escape. Just rumors of the Transit Connect van- not a good volume producer in my mind. We hear you guys have a bright future with your retool and export possibilities. Alot of us here are looking for that last little nudge to get us over the 30 and out. ;D

I wish everyone the best of luck in their decisions. Most on here will try to provide any answers they can for you through your process. Every one knows you can never have enough information when you are trying to make major decisions for yourself inside of Ford.

Cats or Cards you can't go wrong Love them Both. Kcap is in Missouri by the way, and we build world class vehicles. Looking forward to doing that in Louisville, do they still have the bluegrass festival downtown on the waterfront area. Been to a lot of derby parties and spent some time in the infield drinking on derby day. Is Joe Bobnar still plant manager built a few vehicles for him great guy. The guys from avon lake and edison that are here are also thinking about lap so who knows how big the party will be, but it will be fun. ;D

Hey dcassity, Please let me say that LAP welcomes anyone that wants to come with your product. Without your product we would not have a home and would be doing the same. Louisville is a great place and our UAW Memebers will treat you as one of us. Thanks Herb BC

Dang, something most really be going with your life or it's bad at Kansas City to only have 8 more years to retirement unless rumour is circulating there of a plant closure.

Thanks for your concern, it is nice to know you care. i do not find going to a place where most of my family is prior to my retirement as strange. My life is good compared to most so thanks for the inquiry, but if things start poing bad I will be sure to let you know. I think the product life of the new escape will take me well past my 30, and with my seniority that will be on day's. How about you is evrything good? looking forward to more warm converssations. ;D
