No facilities reporting 100 or more employees scheduled for full week
temporary or indefinite layoff.
Open Discussion:
Next Sub Council we will elect the National Negotiators, select
resolutions committee, and adopt resolutions from the floor.
We need to stop erosion of closing plants; others think erosion in
American jobs is not their problem- eventually it is because of trickle
down effect. Projection of 450,000 Fusions produced – should bring the
overflow here to keep our plants open, 70% Fusion drivers don’t know it
is made in Mexico, and Toyota is making a van that looks just like the
Econoline, in 2012.
With the AWS schedule it makes it hard for the two’s system to
accurately track OT. The system can’t distinguish the difference
between B & C Crew in Kansas City for equalization of OT.
Discussion was held on “Billion Dollar NAFTA Super Highway.”
What went wrong with GEN and how do we get it back?
Steve Stone, Local 862, made a motion to bring the resolutions to the next SUB
Council Meeting. Motion supported and carried.
Jim Eagle, Local 879 made a motion to reinstate all benefit concessions lost in
the Modification Agreement. Motion was supported and carried.
