Louisville Assembly Plant Employees & Retirees –
On February 1990, the Louisville Assembly Plant launched the Ford Explorer and
the SUV market exploded. Over the past 20 years, Ford Motor Company has produced
over six million Explorers, achieving world class quality in their market. At
the end of this year, production for the Ford Explorer will end at Louisville
Assembly Plant and a new redesigned Explorer will be produced at Chicago
Assembly Plant.
Because of the hard work and dedication our many employees have given in order
to produce a Best-In-Class vehicle, we are offering all LAP retirees and current
employees the first opportunity to be part of LAP history by winning the last
Ford Explorer off the assembly line at Louisville Assembly Plant.
Tickets for the raffle will be sold for and all proceeds will benefit the local
charities supported by Louisville Assembly Plant. There will only be 6000
tickets sold so make sure to buy your tickets today because this opportunity
won’t last long. Any tickets not sold to a LAP current employee or retiree by
August 1, 2010 will be offered to local Ford employees and then to the general
public.
To encourage everyone to get their ticket orders in early, we are offering
additional opportunities to have your name entered into the Explorer drawing.
All ticket orders received by July 1st will be entered into a drawing to win an
additional 5 raffle tickets on the Explorer. Further, any individual that
purchases 5 or more raffle tickets will have their name entered in another
drawing to win an additional 20 raffle tickets on the Explorer ($400 value).
The drawing will be held on the day of the September Retiree Meeting: September
15, 2010 at 11:30 at the UAW Union Hall on Fern Valley Road. Winner does not
be present in order to win. Winner is subject to IRS reporting and withholding
requirements and responsible for taxes, title and license.
If you are interested in purchasing raffle ticket (s), please return the order
form in the enclosed envelope along with a check made payable to “Community
Services of LAP”. Please do not send cash. We will mail you your ticket
stub(s) along with a copy of the ticket(s) that will be placed in the raffle.
Only one name will be entered on the ticket and it must be a LAP employee or
retiree from LAP.
Thank you again for your contribution to Louisville Assembly Plant over the
years in making the Explorer a success.
