11pm-7am does not get it either...believe they go by the outside temperature, may be wrong. But all shifts should be getting beverages. All it takes is for someone to go online to a medical site...write down all the symptoms of heat exhaustion/stroke and go to medical and tell them all your symptoms. LOL Once one person falls out, liquids will be plentiful. But it's a shame you must play the game, but you must remember where we work.

If you want diarrhea that bad just chase some White Castles down with one tablespoon of dish soap and one tablespoon of Castor Oil.

Pre-Delivery, the whole department with about 90 people got one 3 gal jug and a sleeve of 25 cups. Heard that it is crap on top and jello on the bottom. I guess they figure that if they leave all the good shit at the bottom, all they have to do is add water and whamo, they have gatorade for the next shift. At least when the team leaders made it we had enough, and they fixed it right, but the company don't care, they are saving money on ice, and spoons to stir it with.

I like how the bosses hide in the a/c till something goes wrong. Be sure to keep them out on the floor as much as possible addressing the slightest hints of an issue, that way they don't have to run back and forth and get overheated.

Buck, The Policy is if weather.com forecasts 90 degrees we get gatorade. For some reason they were the only website on the planet that didn't have it at 90 degrees for Monday. Once it actualy hit 90 degrees we got them to agree to release it but it was already after 2 o clock so it was realy too late to get it to days. So we got it for nights. We got them to agree to release gatroade today even though it isn't forecasted to be 90 but they agreed with it this close and with the issues this week to release it.
They took it away from teamleaders for sanitary reason. Many people were saying the jugs never got cleaned and this was somewhat true. I believe someone even called the health department. The company would love to go back to that because it costs them alot less. The current way of doing it they pay 5 people a day to do gatorade duty. So it definatly wasn't a cost save.
ScottR,
I will look into you guys getting it.

At least when the team leaders made it, it had ice in it. The best thing to do is to bring a jug of ice water from home.

What I was told was they dump and clean the coolers for the gatorade in the same area they drain the pump trucks.Somebody I know seen them laying in that area upside down on the drains.

Buck, I believe someone even called the health department. If the union reps would ever show up on the floor, no-one would of ever called the health dept. I have heard for days now how KTP has pleaded for help from the union leadership only to have no one answer the phone or a constant busy signal.

I am sure there is someone on every team who would willingly make the Gatorade, or clean the jugs if the TL could get them off the job for a little bit.

Sounds like a "I heard...." story. I see the Reps everyday, and have never had a problem contacting my commiteeman. As far as being on the floor itself see Kessingers post about how much time is needed to be in the office to do the things requested of them. I never drink out of those gatorade coolers, I just bring what I need from home.

saw rep today for first time in several days, no gatorade monday, then tuesday all we had was nightshift leftovers.....then they came and took that away around 1:00..today tl told me, don't even ask, i already called, they aren't giving out gatorade today, so i immediately called union.............we got gatorade today around 11...saw union rep right after lunch and he said there is a number to call to request gatorade and thats all you have to do..of course you will have to check weather.com and see if they forecast us to be at 90 degrees or higher..per union rep.

I see my rep Bob everyday. Bet you do...I have seen quite a few reps bob out here. Man I crack myself up...but in all honesty, many need to quit sharing a bed with the company. Hell I've seen times where a boss screwed over a worker...only to hand his used condom to the union rep so he could partake in the sexual festivities. And the only reaction you get from a majority of the people on the floor is "be happy they used a condom"...that's how fucked up this place is...crazy shit.

Doesn't surprise me to get this response from you. Looks like you're out numbered in this thread, dont troll so much, makes you look even sillier.

I just state my opinion, no more no less. If the temp has to be 90, then maybe we can negotiate a lower temp. it's not the reps fault.

[/quote] The reps are the one's who are supposed to be there for the line workers as they are needed in certain matters inside the plant. Yes, like a few have stated, some committee people show up just to show their face but they never apply action to their words. Im sure if you were on the line sweating your testicles off, you would want anything to help you make it through the day. Yes I bring my own refreshments to work, but that doesnt mean the other thousands of workers should too. I reread my last post and there were no names called. Dont be so thinned skinned.

Your opinion Sir!!! is usually whatever stirs the most shit, from most everything I read. Go on and sit there in your reclining chair waiting for something to break and drink whatever you've brought, because you have all the time in the world you need to see to your personal requirements.

Please don't take it personally, I am not trying to "stir" anything Jean. I just don't see how it's the Reps fault if it's hot and you didn't bring enough to drink. The Union got the agreement for Gatorade, you wouldn't have a fan or water fountains either if it weren't for them. I do take my time in the morning to make sure I have all the things I might need for a long hot day at work. If I misunderstood what someone implies in a post, I am sorry. Call me out on anything you would like. There are more than 350 Million people in the U.S., thats a lot of different ways of thinking, don't be surprised and get angry if everyone doesn't agree with your own opinion.

Anal, I do have to point out you tell others not to "troll" the post's yet you are from LAP posting on KTP. And you also post "I hear from KTP that they................
My number is 420- 2409 call if you need me leave a message if I don't answer and I will get back to you as fast as I can or have me paged at 429-2688.
The Gatorade program is heavily flawed but we were the first plant to start getting it and one of the few plants that do.
Marcus, Glad to hear that about Lunsford, he is very good at his job.

I have friends and relatives at both plants so my concerns go with them as well. If it was just one person from KTP telling me this, I would of not payed much attention to the issue. And by the replies to this thread I can see its not just limited to the three people I know of. BTW, I thought 862 was united? I will pass your #'s onto them. Hopefully you can get their concerns addressed unlike their assigned committee people.
