Ok, I'll cover what you should do to help us hold supervisors responsible. But let me address something else first.
I try to address issues brought up here. But I can not do that if you give me no info. Notice in the locked pay correction thread that though it is heavy on RANTS and union bashing there are no facts for me to work off of. There are no real names, no supervisor names, crews, teams mentioned. I got no PM's regarding the issues, so there is no way for me to address things if no one gives me information. When Scotts issue came up he came to me, I got the spotlight on the situation and it got fixed. I think with a little boot money for his troubles, but I could be wrong on that, Scott and his committee person finished the work.
So out of fairness to me, and me trying to help through this website, please remember when you read these posts that I can't help those that post on here unless they give me information. So anyone claiming I knew about these situations and should be addressing them, please keep that in mind. And this goes for any issue, not just this one.
Now, how to help us hold them responsible. Every day at 11:30, One of the BC are in the plant managers meeting with the superintendents. In that meeting they go over all pay corrections. That is the time I get to address repeat offender supervisors or depts. So, if you want the supervisor addressed and you know he has issues paying people right make sure he does a TRUE pay correction not just add time to you. Then I get to make sure the direction is given to address the person.
If you let them cut a deal with you to get a day off, add it to a day or flip early for that pay then we have no way to know about that unless you tell us.
*Note* there are an average of about two pay correction's per day/shift and most of those are trades or a loan out getting double paid. Usualy when the do F it up its a group of people, as Grunts was.
There are only two absolutes in our business workers absolutely have to follow direction as long as it doesn't violate our H@S and supervisors absolutely have to pay us correctly. They won't tolerate us not doing the first and we won't tolerate them not doing the second.
