The only way ANY of us are gonna get extra breaks is if enough of us DO SOMETHING about it. like go to medical for about 15 min. EACH. they WILL NOT and CAN NOT do a thing about it....DONT BE SCARED TO GO!!!!!!

We did that once on the sealer deck at LAP...it led to heat breaks every hour. Then they decided to put in window units up and down the deck to drop the temp about two degrees so we didn't get any more heat breaks.

I finally figured out why Wednesday night was the hottest night of my life at FoMoCo...this is my first summer in body with the kevlar sleeves and everything being covered. Insanely hot with these damn sleeves on...not sure I will spend another summer in body.

i remember heat breaks in bodyshop a few years back at lap, it was nice to have them breaks, but then mgmt got pissed they weren't getting their numbers. So heat breaks stopped , unless we made up the time at the end of the night

For this thread it should be, "Just lay there and take it." because nobody does anything about it when management does things they're NOT supposed to. They just cry on this forum, lol.

I never have liked the enviroment in body, with the dust and sparks, ect...it is warm in the winter though...LOL It is very unpleasent in the building, but could you imagine having to work outdoors in the sun? Everybody be safe.

This is another reason why not choosing to go to KTP was a good choice...Friday at the pool was nice.

Heat breaks? Are you guys serious? I've been at LAP almost 20 years & have never heard of anyone getting a heat break. Scott I'll agree with you about the kevlar, I didnt think anyplace could be hotter than trim in the summer, I was wrong.

I feel like I am about to hot to death in my stylish kevlar sleeves and gloves, but being hot in body shop is still WAY BETTER than u-trim in shorts t-shirt.
