Heard company has approved 4 10s but union is holding it up as long as overtime was scheduled. Anyone heard if there is any truth this?

My be a rumor may not, but it was brought up in team leader meeting and later committeeman told a team leader pretty much the same thing. Heard this from more than one team leader.

What part of the plant are you refering to? Final, Body, Paint, Stamping?? I have worked 4-10s three different times over the 18 years I've been here. It never worked because the Final Chassis lines would be starved by the end of the week, the Paint dept and Stacker cannot supply enough units for 5-8s as it is. Now we have the Nav/Expo units mixed in with that Trim dept struggling to keep up also. It isn't the Union, it's the basic layout of this assembly plant.

Ktpelec is right..paint/body can not supply enough trucks to run. Company is wanting either 66 or 68 trucks an hour and we can barely do that. Nav/Expeditions take up 2 spaces instead of one when coming over from body and then in paint going from hang..we lose too much time. Not like the old days when we had two separate shops-combining both was a huge mistake.

That's one of two reasons I'm staying on 11-7 for now Cal...the other being all the tentative Saturdays and football games.

I understand your Saturday logic, but aren't all your football games on Thursday nights anyway?
