This may soon be a reality since the Chihuahua plant will be able to produce 380.000 6.7-litre diesels annually. Almost double from the initially planned 200.000
Ford has now confirmed that its Chihuahua Engine Plant (CEP) in Mexico will produce over 750,000 diesel engines a year. According to plant manager, Enrique Araiza, CEP's new Plant 11 facility has capacity to assemble 400,000 of Ford's 4.4-litre V8 diesel engines a year, as well as 200,000upa of the 6.7-litre V8 diesel. Both engines are completely new and make use of compacted graphite iron (CGI) cylinder blocks. Araiza forecast that production capacity for the 6.7-litre unit will be expanded to 380,000upa, bringing total diesel engine capacity at the plant to over 750,000upa. The 4.4-litre engine has recently been unveiled in Land Rover's Range Rover. Other applications will follow. The 6.7-litre diesel features in Ford's F-250 pick-up

me 2. Mexico engines ruined Dodge trucks. Remember the 90's when everyone wanted one. They move the engines to mexico, and now they are in last place again.

Ticks me off our engines come from mexico!! Well it's not like the poor Mexicans building them could afford to buy one....So they need to be shipped here....for a few years that race to the bottom then no one will afford one. Oh well ride that pony until it throws you, last one out of US turn the lights off

Profit from the Chihuahua plant is going to and is reinvested in the US but who cares? WAKE UP
