Different views on events in politics.
What makes us fans of different political parties, sports teams, or viewpoints on any topic? Maybe you followed your parents opinions or you met someone involved with that organization. Maybe you just like to root for the underdogs. Maybe you have endeared yourself to the ideals, or a definition of that organizations “team motto”. I watch the comments in the political section and it’s very obvious to me that given the opportunity we would argue about anything if it defended our own personal “teams” and made them look better in the light, as if we were our own CSI unit. The defense statements are sometimes facts but usually they’re repeated statements by the news service that we happen to be “fans” of. There is no doubt that once you’ve defined yourself as a member, your admirable loyalty is unshakeable, and therefore beyond ever changing sides regardless of the event.
An example:
Dorothy and the Wicked Witch. Apply which ever news service that you think would side with the parties involved.
Dorothy vs. the Wicked Witch
A civil case
Dorothy News Service, or as a member of “Team Dorothy” this is how the event occurred: While minding her own business and hugging her dog while lying in her bed Dorothy’s home was lifted by a tornado which was caused by an evil schoolteacher who in fact was the Wicked Witch in disguise. The tornado was created and used by the witch to abduct Dorothy and her dog from the protection of her family to a location where the Witch’s powers were more extreme and accepted. The Witches misuse of power and poor judgment of the flight abilities of a Kansas style ranch home to land on the outskirts of Oz in fact endangered many lives. The Witch instead of managing the flight laughed and taunted Dorothy while flying circles around the home on an unauthorized *flying home cleaning tool. The Wicked Witch who was Dorothy’s school teacher should have known as Dorothy’s educator that Dorothy nor her dog had any experience in “tornado home piloting” or any experience with landing a home. By her own hand, the Witch personally caused, carried out and should have expected the possibility that the home’s final resting place would have landed on, and in fact killed her own sister.
[*Posthumously the witch and her estate are being charged by the FAA for several offenses including flying an unauthorized aircraft, flying an unauthorized aircraft without proper tail section identification, piloting without a license, pilot purposely “buzzing” surface structures (although in flight). Pilot flew both aircraft without the consent any local flight tower’s clearance. She is also being charged by the state of Kansas for multiple moving violations.]
Wicked Witch News Service, or as a member of “Team Witch” this is how the event occurred: While attempting to protect years of agricultural work in her prize garden, and in an effort to protect the animal (Dorothy‘s unleashed dog.) and, After seeking and receiving proper documentation to impound the animal from local law enforcement the witch collected the animal from Dorothy‘s home. (*While at Dorothy’s home she noticed that the entire family appeared to suffer from animal hoarding issues.) The Witch carefully placed the animal in an approved container in which the animal could travel safely and had plenty of fresh air. While the Witch was enroute to deliver the dog to a local animal rescue center, Dorothy called for the dog to return to her. The dog’s struggles and wiggling to escape and please it’s masters bidding caused the Witches wand to activate, as her wand was also stored in the same container. (legal, storage of a firearm, State of Kansas) The dog activated the wand which created the tornado, which proves that wands don’t kill witches, dogs do.
As the tornado approached Dorothy’s home and lifted it, the Witch heroically returned to save the dog (who’s well being was now under her legal guardianship). After unsuccessfully attempting to rescue the animal on her first lap around the house on her bicycle the witch noticed Dorothy had a bump on her head that probably would cause her later to assume that the Witch was flying an illegal aircraft. The witch pedaled furiously to keep up with the tornado caused by Dorothy and her dog. As she would get closer to Dorothy’s window, she shouted out safety instructions for Dorothy to follow. Such as “Secure any loose propane tanks!”, “Stay away from windows!”, “Floss daily!”, but it was obvious that the girl could not hear her. As the house fell back to the ground in Oz, the Witches sister attempted to catch the house to protect Dorothy, and the dog. (*Dorothy thanked this heroic witch for her efforts, by stealing her family heirloom shoes off of her body.)
*The ASPCA has been notified to investigate the animal hoarding issues on Dorothy's uncles farm, charges pending.
*Dorothy will be investigated for tampering with evidence, once communication has been reestablished with Oz.
-Wand testing analysis at Remington Firearms found the wand to be in perfect working order, but that the safety mechanism, had a scratch on it, possibly caused by the struggling animal.
