So I'm new to this board...obviously. I had to relate this story for my production brothers and sisters. I'm skilled trades I come in early Mon. get this job to inspect all the hoist and stuff on Frame line one and two. LIKE THIS CAN BE DONE IN 4 hrs LOL...would take like 3 days with NO Production So I see a bunch of NON Conforming issues (Ford Speak) which the management team isn't going to be happy if I write up. But, screw it I write it anyway. Also follow it up with email(CYA) to maintenance MPS, UAW Health & Safey, my committee etc. Management is pissed NOW...They pulled my email (Ford email) Too Funny they'll show me writing that shit up! Meeting about the issues tomorrow (supposedly) we'll see what happens... Hopefully I don't get too much hassle....It's hard to do right thing, hopefully Union will back me up
Stay Tuned

I want to personally thank you for doing your job. They want to preach safety, but if it hurts their numbers, they want to turn a blind eye. Thanks again...and keep doing all the necessary paperwork.

You're a strong person mulewrong. The safety of the hourly depend on people like yourself. Thank you for not turning a blind eye. As for pulling your e-mail.....it just shows how petty certain people are.

Thank you mulewrong! I was hit in the ribs with an aluminum drive shaft driven into me with 140ft/lbs of torque by one of the hoist/gun combos last week on frame line. Felt like someone swinging an aluminum bat hit me. I really don't know what happened but seemed all they wanted to find was operator error in the process. PLEASE don't let them silence you. Document and CYA. We are your brothers and we thank you for watching out for us. Hope we can return the favor.

Thank you mulewrong! for watching out for us. Hope we can return the favor. Really the thanks is all mine, been at a few Ford facilities and this is the best group of people I've worked with....with that said, this is also the most aggressive management team I've seen. They don't give a rats ass take no prisoners Reminds me of the stories I heard from the old timers at the Rouge, Harry Bennet Ford Service Dept, Dearborn Stamping (Dearborn State Prison) History Repeats itself.... Local Legend said at dearnborn stamping they wanted to watch you use the rest room...make sere you weren't screwing off As fast as these conveyors run, the rat condition of the hoist and ergro tools medical should be overflowing. Ford has a spec, what conveyors are supposed to run at like 22 ft per min otherwise units slide on the skid and such. These conveyors are cranked which is why a lot of location issues the blow through the hard stops on the conveyors and past prox switches

I asked Scott and Ron about this when I got in today. They have already turned in to have his email turned back on, may take a few days, it usualy does. And as Mule already stated everyone will be sitting down to address the issues. It did have to wait til Monday to have the needed people in the meeting.
If there are safety issues they will be addressed.

The email can only be turned off by a few people. It may be a good idea to find out the "who, what, when, where of who did it, and "OCD" document what happened there. This may be necessary for any future legal issues or possible retalliation. No it isn't just stuff that happens on t.v., be careful. Pay attention to which salary type, nuzzles up first to be your friend.

They're not doing me a favor giving me an email address. Keep it! Not going to play there games with safety issues. Meeting with Joe Bob Monday, Eskridge entire union is invited come one come all....I know what I know about the equipment in question and if they don't want to fix it well everybody has a boss. And I'm not going to have my job held over my head for doing right thing piss on it....So far I'm told I spent too much time on computer, grand standing etc.... cool whatever just fix the issues we have a union, health and safety I can show em the issues no need for drama see where it goes You guys / girls have a good weekend I'll keep ya up to date PEACE

You're a strong person mulewrong. You ought to try working down wind of him on a hot day!! LOL Seriously, there is a "Near Miss" form on the main KTP Plant page, it's anonymous, just give the specifics as to what you saw and Health & Safety have to address it. If you see Mark Able or Eric Smith doing something stupid, report it, just be specific. There are lots of equipment issues that need to be addressed, how they schedule whats most important is beyond me. We all want to work safely and go home. Wiggy wiggy wiggy...I get it LOL (just a fluke) Really not a near miss thing, lack of maintenance, wrong applications...Kinda like running all aluminum wire and then running with high amps won't be a near miss if it goes Like I said it will work out...No drama monday

Just an update, Safety and the whole team came out today to see how bad I was lying to them...Sorry we were in your way, and hopefully they fixed those jobs they shut down. I told them they really need to do a thorough inspection, see where it leads. The line is in need of help, up to the powers that be now You Frame liners take it easy.

Hey Mule, I drive a tug, and anyone who sees me drive it knows who I am, I do the speed limit,(5 mph). and yes Mule, you will be harrassed and threatened if you have the type of SUPERS I have, and your team members that break the rules will turn on you and tell the bosses that you are the problem. They would rather get ten minutes here and there and take on more work and be the Bosses little crouch sniffing lap dogs than to follow the safety rules that they signed off on. And when they have an accident the bosses will turn on them like a pitbull, all the while calling the Union to save them after Scott E. preaches about following the rules. But I'm still fighting an overloaded job after three years "THANKS NIGHTSHIFT", run your asses off stupid, "you can find me"

Tugs and forks should be limited to the speed limit.

could'nt run with the people we have in stock if they shut down the speed, always cutting people out or not replacing them when they roll, they say they can't adjust the speed to 5 mph, plus there are some people that want to go 8.5 so they can hold their jobs, "Idiots"

Ha and management in paint is hiding by the doors trying to R&W people for not having safety glasses as soon as they walk in the doors. While important stuff goes without attention.
Safety = Dog and Pony Show.
It's just this kind of pettiness and hypocrisy from management that fuels the KTP bashing thread.

I'd want that truck
