UAW Chaplaincy Committee: Once again the Chaplaincy Committee will be
holding an informational workshop to equip and deal with times of crisis
that may occur in our lives and others. There will be several speakers from
around the Region, information pamphlets and a free lunch. The entire event
is free to all UAW members, family and friends. Aug. 21, KTP Hall, 12pm til
3:30pm.
Labor Day at the Zoo: 11th Annual Labor Day Picnic and Car Show is
Sept. 6, 10am till 3pm. Lunch served from 11am to 3pm. Please visit web
site for further details www.louisvillezoo.org . Advance Ticket purchases
are 5 dollars and 7 dollars at the gate and under 3 are free. See Ralph
Napier for tickets, 3674 or Rocky to work event 241-9491
UAW Local 862 Picnic: Sept. 26, Louisville Water Tower from 10am till
5pm. Food will be served from 11am- 4pm. The picnic is only open to UAW
members and their immediate family which are covered under your insurance.
UAW t-shirts will be handed out to members only with proper ID.
Day Off Slips: Please make sure you are filling out your Day-Off slips for
Vacation and Personal time. We need the slips filled out for your proof
and our argument about the 8% Contractual Agreement and to verify who was
next for approval. Please see your Supervisor.
Bid Jobs: The union still has not received the final draft of the plant
dimensions or the size of the departments to know how many people we will
have and where, what classification need to bid, how many on each shift, or
recalls to their previous classifications. As soon as we know, you will
have plenty of time to make a good decision on bidding.
Last Built Explorer Raffle: Tickets still on sale. Please see Ralph Napier
at F-19 or call 3674. Tickets are 20.00 a piece . Tickets will be sold
at the UAW/FORD State Fair Booth. Sales have slowed and need to get the
purchase amount paid so we can hold the raffle in time. Please stop by and
show your appreciation to our Team working the UAW/FORD Fair Booth this
year, in the South Wing.
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series: The Kentucky Speedway is offering
discount tickets to UAW\FORD employees for 25 dollars, with 5 dollars going to
charity. Seats are located in grandstands Sec. 3 and 4. Go to
www.kentuckyspeedway.com, Sept.3 Race, Buy Tickets, enter promo code
FordLAP.
Help Needed: We are looking for your suggestions on cafeteria foods and
needs. Do you want hot food ready? Do you want food carts? Do you want fast
food vendors to come in here? Do you want just vending machine food? Do you
just want a cool place to eat and watch TV? Do you want more microwaves n
ice machines? Please write down your suggestions and give to your
committeeperson. Please consider 3 shifts @ 8hrs, and your break time
available.
Unemployment: Several people had concerns with receiving a different
amount UI than others. There are several reasons, personal deductions,
medical time off and down weeks. You have to make 8 full weeks of pay in
all 5 Quarters (each quarter is 3 months) to get the full amount of UI. The
stimulus checks was not approved by Congress. So depending on your
effective date of claim and BYE date, you may have gotten it or may not.
Good thing is, SUB will make up the difference in all cases.
Life Insurance Beneficiary: Do you have any doubts as to who your Life
Insurance Beneficiary is, if something where to happen. Please call
1-800-843-8184 option 2 to request a change form or further question please
stop by the hall and see Jim Fisher at 969-3286. We have had another
circumstance where there was no designation and the EX was eligible for the
total amount.
AMVETS Car and Bike Show: August 21, Post 61 located at 9405 Smyrna Pkwy

Cornhole Tournament: Stumlers Orchard is holding a Championship Cornhole
Tournament and has invited all UAW members to participate. per team, over

Rumor Facts: Update –Looks like they are going to extend our balance-out
date till Dec. 16th. All Fridays Sept. 3 thru Oct. 29, and two
Saturdays are still scheduled. Everything is subject to CHANGE.
