Lets go for something different...positive. I do not want any negative replies...only love in this thread. So here we go...pick one and only one. Which of the current reps on the floor is your favorite? I am sure they would love to hear they are doing a respectable job. Most know I am a Bryan St. Clair supporter. I also want to share the opinions of those I work around that don't visit this forum. One for Charlie Jones One for Epperson Still awaiting answers from others...will add more love as it enters my phone. One Love

+1 for St. Clair, although we on the frame line had to break him in. It only took him six months to get a fan moved, but he got it done. He is a really good guy. +1 for Ice, see same as above. Is it just me or do we on the frame line get the reps when they are green and after they learn the ropes move on elsewhere?

No a committeeman that is truthful and knows what they are talking about. One that gets the job done. And yes one that is on the floor at least a few times a week.

does seeing your committeemen everyday make him a good one ? I personally never did understand this philosophy. A This the same one I have trouble understanding as well. I hear a lot of people talking about how good an elected person is by the amount of time they see of them. Now if all they do is show up and you see them everyday doesn't make them good if they are not doing the job they were elected to do. It takes more than walking around and asking if everything is OK and then walking off. If that was the case then we wouldn't see them once we got an hour into the shift because they would be done. Three days a week or twice a day two days a week should be good enough to get the info they need to do what it is they are elected to do. Personally I have a problem with the ones that brag how good they are while people are getting written up left and right. The closer to election the more they seem to want to do but after election they seem to disappear for two and a half years.

Charlie Jones was my union rep in paint a few years back.......I had a "serious" issue and he looked into it and gave me DAILY updates (no info and seeing him is still an update in my opinion) for the days after up until the decision did not favor me. Even though I didn't get what I felt was due to me, Charlie still came around and eventually told me my bad news. I'd rather hear the "bad truth" than a "good lie". To me, that makes a good committeeman.
Brian Kessenger was same way......Kevin Powers too!

Ron Fowler has done an outstanding job for me. It seems to me that sometimes an individual expects his Union Rep to have the same "hatred" or terrible feelings toward a superior that they do. That is asking a bit much in my opinion. I expect my Rep to address the issue, get some kind of result, and keep me informed.
