I would have taken the first buyout offered. That place is a total fucking joke. Can anyone explain to me what happened...or has it always been this fucked up? I am not about to go in depth as to why this place is so screwed up...but for those with over 10 years at KTP, has it changed over the years...or has it been this messed up since day one?

In the past if you had a bad committeeman you were screwed. Unless you knew the BC personally or someone else that did they were off limits. Our current BC makes contacting them possible by putting their phone numbers out for people to call when a committeeman is wrong or just not doing their jobs.
The amount of control the team has gotten worse. I have seen teams vote to take away seniority for the purpose of loaning people out. The team rule went something along the lines of the last person to the team was first to be loaned out, so that they ended up with a seniority list based on when you got to the team. Not when you hired in at Ford.
I say it has improved since you have the support of the BC.

Bo, we have had to stop the "last one to team" thing in the past. The team can make some decisions on loan outs as long as they don't violate the contract. And rewriting how seniority works is violating the contract. So, if that happens again let me know.

It seems to me that the "majority vote" done by a team usually ends up with the most senior person getting the worst job on that team. Why? Because the majority of the team has less senority than the person they want on that crap job. When I went to material handling, the first thing the team did was vote that bidding on jobs WITHIN the team for an open job was done by TEAM senority, not FORD senority. As a matter of fact, they also voted that a new team member couldn't even vote on an open job for 30 days! Their reason was simple..they didn't want more senior people transferring to their team just to get a better job. I tried to explain that was the whole point of senority. And if they deny senority rights now, what happens when THEY have senority over the new hires? will they vote that only those on the team making OVER $14 an hour can bid on jobs? The company takes enough of our rights and benefits away. Let's not help them by doing it to ourselves.

KTP could have bought me out for $100 and a reach around. I say we all kill ourselves tonight on the line!

" we have had to stop the "last one to team' thing in the past."
Outstanding. I couldn't believe they were allowed to do this. A good example of when to bypass a committeeman.
