This is for everybody. You can put in for a personal day if you have the time to use. THEY ARE NOT GOING TO PAY ANYONE BUT YOU HAVE TO HAVE THE TIME TO USE IN ORDER TO PUT IN FOR THE DAY. VACATION TIME REQUEST: We are still fighting with the company on this but this should be overturned by next week. If anyone has vacation time to use can put in for it ( they need to hold onto their slips ) and will not get paid for it. Vacation time issue will be resolved soon and we will get the message out asap on that issue. Thank you,
Brent Eskridge.

So, if I read this correctly we can use a personal or vacation day to not have to work the Saturday, but don't expect to get PAID...not even 8 hours straight time ? Sounds nuts to me.

This is probably silly, but what happens to our day? Or do they just need it to hold over our heads to get the time off and then it cancels itself out...

They arent PAYING you for that day. The way I understand it is basicaly they will gove you the Personal day "on paper" but you wont actually get paid for the day. And you still have that day to use later on. Besides they cant pay you the time for Sat if you already have your 40 for the week. Like I said I'll just take the overtime. I have part of a wedding to pay for next summer since my oldest is getting married.

I was hoping that someone "in the know" could answer the question as we could sit here & speculate all day long. No big deal as I plan on working anyways. Just wanted clarification if the company really expects someone to give up 8 hours vacation/ personal time without pay, simply to avoid working the Saturday. Still sounds nuts to me...

I'll be working, got bills to pay. I know this Forum is not the place to expect any "accurate" info though! LOL

As long as you have hours...you can ask off...you won't get paid, and you won't lose any hours...it's quite simple. If you have no hours left, you can't ask off.
