I think we should keep the law the way it is. You can already open carry if you so choose without a permit. Plus if you are going to go spend 500.00 on a good gun Im sure you can pay 75.00 one time and 60.00 every 5 years. Yes I am pro gun and pro Second Amendment but I want the person carrying that weapon to be properly trained. The permin process allows for that.

I must agree here. I to am pro gun but some people don't need to be packing. It's a pretty easy process to get your license. Most who apply receive their permits, and 500.00 don't buy much of a gun these days!

I'm on the fence on this one. I think anyone who wants to conceal carry should pass a test like the current one here in Ky. But the fee we pay every five years is excessive if you look at the cost and what the money goes to. I wish there was a way to see the over all profits that the state and the sheriffs depts make off of CCW licenses. By the time you add up all the CCW holders here in Ky and total up what they pay every five years, that is a shit load of money. Open carry is another matter. I laugh my ass off when I see some of these guys OCing around Walmart and restaurants with their big hog-legs on their hip. I feel better knowing mine is out of site and out of mind. If a Libtard sees someone OCing, you know they will go ape-shit.

Personally I will spend 1000.00 plus and get a good Glock or Sig myself. But you make a very good point.

I too prefer conceal carry over open carry any day.

I know a bunch of places that sell new Glocks and Sigs and even S&Ws' for under $500 new. Hell, Kimbers can be had for less then a $1,000
