does anyone out there know who i can talk to get a simple issue such has having writing on a container enlarged so it can be seen without using a pair of binoculars been trying for a year and a half.........we used to have ei meetings and team meetings to try and resolve these things now we have nothing..........its so sad around here anymore that unless something is causing down time in production it all falls on deaf ears

Believe it or not, we actually have a "container engineer" I believe is what they are called. I had to use them when I was in IQ. They make sure the suppliers are keeping the shipping containers in good working condition. I would assume they are the ones that would deal with shipping labels or writing on containers as well. Supervisors in stock or Incoming Quality should be able to assist.

You are probably exactly right on your 'down time' assessment. If they cared, it would have been done a long time ago. At least you have talked to the right people...you can always ask Joe Bobnar...his door is always open.

They dont care as long as you keep the line going.Stop the line and you will get it fixed.

Talk to your union rep on this issue. Get your team leader to call MPL out there and get the name of the supervisor that shows up, have the team leader email him, union rep, the super on shift about this issue. If the issue doesn't seem to be getting any attention then we take it to the blue and white meeting to where the area manager gets involved. If he cant do it then it goes to his boss at the next blue and white meeting. We have these meetings every two weeks. Try this and see if that helps.

spoke to several supervisors over the time we have dealt with this issue ,team leader has know for quite some time and spoke with union reps......................here lies the problem none of these people give a damn because their not the ones that have to contend with it............now if it was causing down time some one sure as hell would be fixing the problem......to me this is one of the biggest problem with ktp........no one will listen and act to try and help resolve issues

Love the name fordmakesnosense. The point Brent is making is just like the company pulls their CYA maneuvers, you have to create your own paper trail. E-mail trails that start from the bottom and move their way up the chain of command and CC the ones that didn't respond the last time so that they know you're going over their head. Always include your union rep in your e-mails also, that way they are informed and the company knows it. I was a team leader for 12 and a half years until they cut my job out and just speaking to someone won't get it done. You have to be able to hold them accountable. I'm not saying that I was always successful in getting issues resolved but I think I had a pretty good track record by using such techniques. You're going to stir the pot so pick your battles wisely. Guess what one of the first things they done to me when they cut my team leader job, they stopped my e-mail account. It's a great tool and if you don't have it, have someone that does send the messages and give you paper copies.

Have you been to the eye doctor lately? LOL Just a little humor, sorry. From a techs point of view I have to ask, is this a printed letter or hand written? If it's a matter of changing Font size or something on a Carton printer it may be harder than you think, possibly leading to additional costs for the supplier. If it's hand written then that is a different problem all together. Take the proper steps and be patient, good luck.

this is changing the font size on a sticker one letter an f and an r for front or rear on cladding..........i understand that what may simple to me may be more difficult for a vendor.....but a year and a half???iwas a team leader myself went to the war room blah blah blah i dont have email addresses anymore im just someone who tries to do their job daily and i try to make it better for anyone doing it.....i just find it sad that when your a lowly line worker, fork lift driver, inspector etc...that you cant find anyone that gives a dam enough to help you resolve simple issues, unless it causes line stoppages

I have sent a message and still have no response from you. I can not even try to help if I don't know where to start. So email me back on here and I will do what I can or at least get those that need to be involved, involved with your issue.

I have learned that letting the line go down is the most effective way to get things fixed.

Brizzel is right. It is a timeless truth like the sun will rise and we will all die one day. Line stops get attention. Just be sure to have your ducks in a good row.

We have always had a saying on the frame line. You have two choices, dry it up or shut it down.
