Chairperson Update 9/26/2010
The National UAW/Ford Dept is calling meetings of the Ford Council and all
SubCouncils next week in Washington, DC. The delegates from the LAP for the
National Ford Meeting will be President Rocky Comito and LAP Chairperson Steven
M. Stone, delagates for Sub Council 2 (Assembly Plants) are Rocky Comito,
Steven M. Stone, and Bargainer Barry Ford, and for Sub Council 3 (Skilled
Trades) is Jamie Burke.
LAP Chairperson Steven M. Stone will be covered for the week by Herb Hibbs and
the Bargaining Committee will be Fred Willard (covered by Dennis Skaggs) and
Jeff Hale (Dave Wimsatt). Skilled Trades Bargainer Jamie Burke will be covered
by Joe Morris.
A company-wide audit of Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification for all
active employees is being conducted to ensure records are compliant with
regulatory standards. The Immigration and Control Act passed by Congress in
1986 requires all US employers to verify the employment eligibility and identity
of employees. Consequently, a Form I-9 must be completed by all employees
hired or rehired after November 6, 1986.
The final Mountaineer should be off of Chassis Line on Thursday.
