Anyone else notice property values going up on their vehicle? My truck's value was over $2,000 higher than last year...makes no sense. How can it go up? Is it gas price related? Just wondering if anyone else noticed this when they went to pay their taxes/tags.

Long discussion on the Mandy Connel show about it. The explanations given were the price of fuel coming down, cash for clunkers and a couple of others. Most likely just the product of gov't revising the value to help fill empty coffers.

Vehicle taxes are a State/County issue, we are a very poor state. LOL

state/county true but our spending here is out of control also and thats why we will be paying more for state/local overspending. We got money for sports but not bridges.

I'm with ya on the bridges but that will stop being my issue soon I am moving back to the KY.
My dad lives in Bullitt county and he had an issue last year with them shooting his home value through the roof even though the housing market is in the tank. Sounds like they are moving on to cars and trucks to. The cash for clunkers is and excuse crushing a $1000 dollar car is not going to affect the price of a $10,000 truck.

marcus. You can and need to write to any person that holds a position. To your mayor, Governor, Senete and on up the ladder. I don't care which side you vote because they are the crooks that put these taxes in that we should never have to pay. Just my 2 cents.

I had a buddy of mine say the DMV told him it was because he had a used 4X4 truck and the cash for clunkers got rid of alot of them.
