Ford wants 100% tier2 new hires. Get ready to vote to screw your kids and relatives out of $28hr forever. And while we are at it, we can vote to screw some LAP transfers back to tier2 wages. SORRY, its a dog eat dog world.

Isn't this an LAP Topic? I believe the MOA (Modern Operating Agreement) was superceded by the COA (Competitive Operating Agreement)

Well the MOA and COA were just concepts they are folded into the contract now there is no seperate agreement. The MOA is mostly just team concept.
We put out what Steve reported. Herb has put something out saying that they will not open the contract to get product announcment, but that is what was said. And Jay (former committeeperson from LAP) even questioned that they would have to open the contract to get product confirmation, and Steve said yes they would have to open it up but they wouldn't give back anything, so I don't think there was miscommunication. And
Herb also said there is not truth to them bidding all 3 shifts bid jobs. Which is true, accroding to Steves report, they aren't bidding #1 shifts bids. I didn't think they had #1 shift agreed to yet. But, I have no inside info. into their agreements other than what Steve reported out.
Hopefully they will clear it up on the LAP page. It's really none of my business but we include Steves report since alot fo you guys like to have that info.

According to our weekly hand out it states there is no truth to opening the contract for product announcement. There is no truth to us going to a moa like ktp. And there is no truth to bidding all 3 shifts at one time . This wht was given to us 2 day

Also, maybe we don't all get the same weekly handouts but mine says nothing about any of this one way or the other. Sorry about the multiple posts, how do you delete a post?

the union leaders would have to be nuts to approach us/you wanting to open contract. If Ford says there will be no announcement or retool until a modified local is passed, guess who will win that one? Ford will continue to milk this cow until they have everything they want from LAP, and even then there's no guarantee they'll honor their commitment.

Where do we get Steve's report ? Steve gives his report at the union meeting. Call the resulting handout a highlight of what he said. There's an LAP version and a KTP version from the way it sounds. IMHO, the KTP version would probably be "spin" free since they listen to what he says and report it. I wasn't there, but to think Ford is not gonna get all they can out of LAP during a retool and product placements would be naive on our part.

Jimmy Settle's was quoted as saying there are other ways to save, other than looking at wages?? I would look to the new focus contract for examples, but according to paper no one @ Wayne knows what's in their new contract ??

After every Union meeting they send out a report with the highlights of the following
KTP Chairperson report LAP Chairperson report Presidents report
And lap65 we all get the same handout. If you are not getting it I suggest you speak to your team leader as he/she gets it in email or ask your committeeperson.

They will came again and ask for more give backs it might be Job Classifications and works rules only. But I believe they will wont one of the shift to be permanent low wage employees.
Lap workers wont have any choice you will have to accept this new contract, giveback, help the company out some more, Save jobs, our whatever they decided to call it.
This is already a done deal and they will give you the details when there ready and no sooner.

Joe, we don't have team leaders at LAP, we are not MOA. We have quality leaders, & as long as I have been working here (19years), I have never seen a report from the union meeting on a handout. We get a weekly handout once a week & its not the union meeting report.

Granted I never saw this until maybe the last year or so but they do come out. It is also posted here uaw862.org/KTP.html Fourth one down the list. It's titled Union Meeting Notes
